Your condescension is gross. Should I talk to you like you’re an idiot because I disagree with you?

What would the NBA have to do for you to believe the Lottery is legitimate?

I wouldnt say the draft is necessarily "rigged".

HOWEVER, Dallas sits at a 1.3% chance to win the #1 pick.

After the whole Doncic debacle, and their GM choosing specifically LA as the team to send him, I would 100% believe it was rigged should they magically land Cooper Flagg.

This is similar to New Orleans trading away Anthony Davis and then them winning the Zion Williamson lottery with 6% chance.

The better question is how much happenstance has to take place for non-believers to buy into the idea that it is absolutely rigged.

Yup. I always have 2 questions for "NBA is rigged" crowd.
1. Why did the NBA allow NYC's team to suck for decades?
2. Why did the NBA hand 3 can't miss HOFers to the San Antonio Spurs who have 0 national profile?

The big market phenomenon wasn't a thing back then. The Clipps were paperbag status during this time as well.

Y'all gotta sit this one out. This was extremely rigged. Take a break and enjoy the games tonight. You get no brownie points for going after the "rigged crowd" after this debacle.

Those posts pre-dated this draft...by weeks no less. And guess what...its still not rigged. Now go and cry about where your team ended up.

1. To answer your question, as a non-believer in the conspiracy theory I would need circumstantial or direct evidence for the conspiracy. Retroactive X won the lottery and this is due to the NBA awarding them for Y.
2. As best I can tell conspiracy theorists believe the NBA fixes things for monetary reasons. The NBA has no financial incententives to want a good team in New Orleans is an irrelevant tv market.

After what just happened if you NEED them to directly tell you it IS rigged then there is no convincing you.

I called this months ago with a 1.3% chance of them winning and I was 100% correct. Lol.

Certainly not give the Mavericks the 1st pick with a 1.8% chance months after they traded their generational superstar

2 big markets teams jump up in the lottery like that? Dallas and Philly!!

Unreal...

I feel for Charlotte and Utah.

Also feel for Washington (big market but terribly run franchise).

Give Flagg to either Charlotte or Washington. Doesn't matter who.

Or just not have the two teams who didn't need it the first two picks, you know, end up with the top 2 picks. Pretty simple.

I told you what it would take to convince me circumstantial or direct evidence that could be admitted in a court of law.

Direct Evidence: eyewitness to the conspiracy, co-conspiracy confession
Indirect Evidence: paper records of the conspiracy, suspicious bank transactions.

If a major newspaper wrote an article with any of the above I would give the conspiracy theory credence. But that never happens

BECAUSE THERE IS NO CONSPIRACY

Why do you follow the NBA or care about games if you think it is fixed?

As an example, you post all the time negatively about Jokic. If you're right this is all fixed complaining about Jokic is like complaining the bad in a movie.

San Antonio one of the NBA tiniest markets won the lottery THREE times with can't miss HOFers.

What is the probability every time a team takes a low ball offer from Lakers for their star and win the lottery in a few months?

Why do you have a picture of Dirk kissing the championship if you believe the NBA fixes outcomes?

If that's true that title has no meaning because it wasn't a real athletic competition.

Dirk and the Mavericks outplayed everybody that year. I don't get your point, this is about the lottery being fixed.

People really just don't understand probabilities. Like the chance of any parlay hitting is incredibly miniscule but it happens all the time. Just because something is unlikely doesn't mean it's rigged.

Though I will say, Dallas winning the #1 pick definitely looks rigged

Games can be favored but the other team still can overcome that like OKC did the other night. Rigging the lottery like Silver has is just low though. It screws multiple teams and those teams have no control over it.

If it is a conspiracy, why would the NBA make openly obvious moves like this? Wouldn't they be covert?

Is it fair to say you believe the NBA fixes lotteries and trades?
