I did assume it would span Pop’s coaching career though.

Thought about KG in the 2nd and 3rd and 4th round. 19 FGA's for a 3rd year player not in his peak or prime was too rich for my blood. If you can afford it, more power too you. Not a bad pick, and I know he would get picked. Just expensive for the young version of him.

It is. Inwas also looking at another pf....but thanks to cheap Chauncey and Cheaper Bowen...it works.

And a good fit to me at least with my other 3 guys.

Glad to get that 1998-99 category out of the way - with my first choice too.

I STRONGLY considered waiting to take KG- I thought I could sell a young KG with Jokic.

But it felt like a risky path and there just weren't any second rounders I loved enough at that spot to justify NOT taking the 98-99 MVP to fill that category. Jokic/Malone feels pretty brutal to guard and Battier/Bridges gives me reasonable counters to some of the elite perimeter combinations that have materialized in this draft.

Dr P, this time you've gone too far.

I was afraid Dr P might scoop me on Mitchell - but Prig? He's pricey, but given the game format I thought he would be drafted.

I was surprised KG lasted so long - Like GM, Larry may have saved me from another out-there move. That 99 class was disappointing overall. Ended up using it on Shaq and drafting a Miami player. Just no one left there that made it worthwhile.

This one turned out really interesting.
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

Not too worried about using my 99 and one team categories right now. Though I should have gone Posey rd 4 Prigs round 5 but forgot about the Heat version.
It's going to be a glorious day... I feel my luck could change

I understand the Prig pick. Really cheap player, spreads the floor, decent defense and you are finished with pretty bad Knicks category

Definitely a guy I was aiming to pick at some point hehe
