It wasn't until 3 minutes left in the disastrous third quarter that this man decided to make substitutions. His star player was getting into foul trouble....still nothing.
Your boy's entire offense is his point guard. Fine. But where is his defensive genius, the reason he's still in this league. Reverting back to not switching because of a change in their lineup, something that didn't work all year, but he goes back to because that's what he likes and letting White go Steph Curry on you....brilliant move. They lost their main iso guy, so knowing that they're going to bomb on ball movement and kick outs more than ever, he goes back to his defensive scheme that blew us out every time, not going along with the change he made to get a 3-1 lead. Master plan.
It really goes to show you what an egotistical, stubborn coach he is, unwilling to adapt. Most of the stuff we applaud him for that works happens by circumstances, like Hart being in foul trouble last game and forcing him to sit that helps us go on a run, or a player getting injured and then getting forced into looking at and inserting someone else to get minutes who could've helped all along (Divincenzo, Duece, etc).
This piece of **** has turned Kat, who was on fire when he got here because they were not overthinking and just playing ball, into Joakim Noah, and he's fine as long as Josh Hart gets touches. That third quarter was just Hart and Brunson, like it was an episode of The Roomates Podcast, and he was fine with that instead of getting Kat going. Made me want to vomit.
They have a center guarding our small forward and a guard guarding our center, Mazulla is giving him an elementary level coaching adjustment, and this **** guy can't figure it out.
I keep hearing he's this evil genius that stays up all night game planning....so why are we always down double digits with this amazing game plan. It isn't until the fourth in crunch time where the players throw his bull **** out the window and Brunson takes it into his hands that we get a chance.
We will win, but despite him.
