He'll be making $49M.

Oh yeah he might make 3rd team all nba so he’ll be eligible for the supermax 5/250

If he gets a supermax in this economy I'll be shocked. Even Luka wasn't able to get 346/5 in a big market and he's a legit superstar on the offensive end.

OKC has been mis sold all year imo. SGA is the only real great offensive player they have and shoulders a much heavier burden than I realized.

Its both possible that his ascension to bonafide number 2 on a title contender was premature and that he's still very young and has a ton of potential.

It wouldn't be too worrisoms if he didn't do the exact same thing against Dallas last year. He has time to prove the naysayers wrong, but he may have a little DeRozan in him.

Role player shaped . I'm not even dunking on the take, that's just a funny saying.

Anyway, we've seen a lot of players in these playoffs lay an egg. It happens under pressure in these big games.

Leastern conference  I can't even focus on my post, yours was too funny.

If you're talking about your guy, he got the space and got the shot off. Cade has wiggle and Williams doesn't. Cade just needs a few tweaks + mental preparation and he's a playoff performer. Williams looks rushed or is getting stuffed in close.

Even if he has another bad game, people are so predictable with this. They expect consistency and excellence to come immediately for young players and kill them when it doesn’t. Is this an earnest tradition of impatient stupidity or are people just having fun play acting it?

It's a tradition from what I've seen.

Sam Presti is an astute evaluator of talent that has seen it all.. he didn't re-up a young James Harden for 4 year 52 million. I find it hard to believe he'll splurg on a dude - based on the eye test - is a 6th man type player (if he's utilized properly).

btw I was always high on James Harden: viewtopic.php?p=21125067#p21125067

It's purely a scoring and shooting issue. The rest of his game has been very, very good. But as the second option, the scoring is what OKC needs most right now.

Wasn't thinking of Cade outright but yeah he falls into the "he's young" conversation too. I didn't want to regurgitate the other posters ad nauseam, but with Jalen (and Cade) it's all about getting more experience under pressure. Nerves of steel are forged under pressure. But in these and in every years playoffs, the product gets gritty and defenses clamp down and then naturally we get those games where even experienced winners can lay that egg too.

Everyone pegged him as an allstar when he isn’t, he’s a great complimentary player to 2 all stars though

Shades of Harden’s final series in OKC before being shipped and then blowing up.

No thats his backside.

Lowry's upside is mental and psychological.

he's fine, he's just being exposed on a bigger offensive role than he should handle at this point in his career

he is definitely a world beater on defense, but should be 3rd option offensively for a championship team, his decision making has always been questionable offensively.

but he's talented and will get better

presti should the one to blame if jdub implodes, because he was the one that had the decision to bring or not a legit second option (like kd or butler) and he opted to stay put.

OKC was all time great team cause of their defense, but SGA didn't get enough credit for carrying that entire offense. We act like Jokic does everything for Denver offensively, but I mean, SGA has to do a lot too. His +/- stats were legendary this year, this team aint as stacked as so believe, SGA was just that great.

Jalen is 24. Not exactly super young. That’s 2 years younger than Doncic and 3 years younger than Tatum. Those guys have been great for ages.

So you're comparing him to two top 10 players in the league, at least...

I never bought into JDub being more than an occasional All Star. From the eye test, Chet is the better player, but JDub gets ranked higher because he’s not focused by the defense, but his mechanics and skill are not that exceptional.
