Not sure who will win game 1. Knicks getting 4 days off. Indiana gets a weeks off. Series will have many close games.

I'm working on the assumption that the Knicks will have game 1 pretty easily. I don't have stats for it, but my memory tells me that teams that sit 8-9 days don't fare well in game 1. Even the numbers might be skewed on that because most of those teams will be one seeds that just beat the hell out of some terrible team.

Pacers in 5 or 6

Celtics lost 2 games that were easily winnable and would have won both if Pacers were in their place
Pacers passes well and moves well without the ball, and all their rotation players can score in double digits at any given light
Their offense is too much to overcome for Knicks' decent but vulnerable defense

Myles Turner alone could easily make Celtics a much better team this postseason

On other hand, Pacers can live with both Brunson and KAT taking all the load on offense but they are going to work much harder on defense
Pacers is a much better scoring team than both Pistons and Celtics in playoffs

There was a whole troop of Celtics fans saying Knicks didn't deserve to be in the same building as them and no "neutral" fans stepped in to call them arrogant. We think our team is better and that's a pretty natural fan stance.

Also, nobody's questioning the legitimacy of last season's win. We just think we'll be better with all of our players vs like half of them and that last season isn't a good barometer for how this series will go. Fortune wasn't smiling on us last postseason and it has so far for us this year.

Pacers are also healthy and a year wiser.

Knicks in 5 but I think we see a lot of close games. Put our guard down and it goes 7 where anything can happen.

NYK in 6 if Towns can stay out of foul trouble in the first half, need his scoring. OG needs to find his shot, his offense has been MIA the last 2gms. Need Mitch to keep doing Mitch things and I'll take 50% from the line from him.

Pacers fans, am leaning towards the Knicks but this may be just bias talking since they are the more popular squad but you have five days to convince me (and other bettors) why we should pick Indiana to win this series.

Liking my Knicks in 6 initial prediction. Leaning hard in locking in that now but maybe i have to listen first to the Pacers’ fans thoughts! i do think Indiana is a good team and like New York have just been resilient since the first round! Tough decision to make!

We only play 7 guys because their 11th man (Walker) could get real PT for us; they run & press fullcourt for 48 minutes. Carlisle is better than Thibs. Turner will drag Mitch away from the paint. KAT struggles defending teams who move the ball well and can force him to make reads on D. Haliburton is almost as clutch as Brunson, Siakam knows how to deal with OG, and Nembhard is just absurd once the playoffs start.

Now bet on them to beat us!

I’m sorry, but I can’t take the Pacers seriously when they’ve the weakest road to the conference finals…maybe after Minny. Maybe they’ll prove me wrong this series. But I’ll be the arrogant one this time around. Don’t see how they beat the Knicks.
