2025 WESTERN CONFERENCE FINALS: #1 Oklahoma City Thunder vs #6 Minnesota Timberwolves (OKC leads 1-0)

To me its a toss up. But leading towards Thunder in 7.
HCA.

Both are good young teams and will be good for years to come. Both have a lot of depth, too, good defence, and good coaches. My area of concern tho is Minnesota's turnover tendencies and occasional scoring droughts. If that happens against OKC too often this series will be shorter than expected. If Twolves limits these things to happen, series extends and they have the opportunity to beat OKC .
Minn has good vets as well as the Thunder. Evenly matched teams.
Minn has the size advantage I believe. They should control the boards, rebounds. We shall see.
Exciting match ups!

Interesting conference finals. All small/mid market teams minus NY (big market). Long championship droughts for each teams as well.. Knicks (last won in 1973). Pacers (last won in 1973 ABA.... none in NBA so far.
Thunder (none as OKC Thunder.....last won in 1979 as Seattle SuperSonics). TWolves (none so far.....youngest franchise , founded in 1989).

Thunder scare me more than any other team.

Wolves in 2nd half of season started taking the care of ball lot better....turnover rate went down massively. They did a good job against Lakers & also in first 2 games vs Warriors but were very careless in last 3 games vs Warriors...especially when they built up a lead, they started to get careless. They really need to take care of the ball better vs Thunder for having a decent shot in this series. I do wonder if Jaylen Clark will get some minutes...he did a good job defensively vs Shai in limited minutes he played in RS

Donte has been shooting like crap so far in playoffs...it didn't matter in prior series but this is the series where Wolves could really use couple of hot shooting games from Donte

Minnesota is very good but the depth is suspect. That's a bad problem when facing OKC.

OKC in 5 or 6. Wolves don't have anyone in the same stratosphere of Jokic's greatness. Their next 2 series won't be nearly as competitive as the Denver series. OKC will win the Finals in 5 games at most. They're going to steamroll their way to an NBA Championship from here.

voted OKC in 6 but we need to play better than against Denver in order to advance to the Finals. Wolves size/length from each position is gonna be a nightmare. Winner of this series probably wins the championship.
