-> JB is the best player in the series
-> They don't have someone who can consistently shut KAT down
-> Mitch/Hart/KAT/OG will throttle them on the boards
-> We're playing our most confident ball of the season on both ends (ie closest to our full potential as we've ever been)
-> We remember the end of last year
-> IND has had softer opponents in these playoffs so far
-> Wingstop (OG, Mikal, Hart) have turned it up defensively big time so Siakam/Hali won't have it too easy
-> Mitch and Duece have been as good as any bench tandem this post season

NYK in 5.

ON the money - ALMOST. Knicks in 6 because of REFs.

Indiana is a very efficient scoring team. Best in the playoffs. Their offense is a well oiled machine so if we are able to slow them down that would say a lot about how far our defense has come. They are probably a better offensive team than Boston. They will be the toughest matchup because they have so many different weapons but defensively they might be the weakest matchup so we should be able to get our offense going too.

Look at who they've played, the best perimeter defender they've seen so far is Dean Wade or Max Struss

It's easy to look like a well oiled machine when you're playing injured teams. A healthy Boston team had a better ORTG then them on the seaso, and a better ORTG while playing a better defensive team in the Magic in the first round.

I didn’t think they were that close at all, with KAT being obviously better. Turner can’t rebound

It's hard to play the PvP battle because in all honesty it doesn't matter. Pacers all play the same tempo/pace on offense. They are 11 deep with guys who can be a problem and they know/trust all of them.
Obi Toppin might be < Precious in certain context, but Toppin is going to score 12 points in 20 minutes on 7 shots. 2-4 from 3, 3-3 dunks.

Celtics game plan was OG vs Tatum. There really is no singular assignment this series. They are predictably un-predictable.

We really have not struggled with them at any time when we have been healthy, so I am really not worried, but it's a completely different animal compared to Pisons (Cade and Co) and Celtics (Tatum's team)

You guys are thinking way too hard about this. In the end this series will come down to who can control pace and possessions at the right moments. So far the Knicks have been able to get both the Detroit Pistons and the Boston Celtics to slow their pace and matchup hunt when possessions mattered the most. Last year, Rick Carlisle spammed isos with Siakam knowing that the Knicks had no one to defend him because OG was hurt. So even in that situation the Pacers chose to be at the Knicks pace if the game got close. If they do it again (I think they will), we will win this series because we now have wings that are defending in those moments.

Its all fun and games until the score gets tight and people start to iso. That's when we excel at both ends. If we can shutdown Tatum and Brown in these moments, I'm not worried about Haliburton and Siakam. We even shutdown Cade when he tried it. We just need to execute properly in the first 3 quarters just like against Boston. That and Brunson will be Brunson. They don't have any Jrue Holidays or Amir Thompsons on their team.

My point is that the Pacers are a different sort of team. There is no head of the snake to cut off. They got like 3 robins and 8 other dudes who can get 20 on a given night.

Celtics did us a favor by Tatum trying to play hero ball. That makes them easy to guard.

Why can't we just go back to our 94 or 99 uniforms permanently?

These Melo era uniforms suck

I don’t want to have to listen to segments on how Haliburton is the best PG in the east and how he’s “our new Reggie miller” and how they have our number and all that ….

Just win.

Also, our starters are better than the pacers starters what we need this series is either first unit domination or some really good bench play. If our starters don’t dominate and the bench doesn’t rise to the occasion we could get run off the court

Their offense is more balanced than Boston so they are harder to defend. Boston only spams 3 pointers so they will shoot themselves out of games as we’ve seen. Indiana moves the ball well and has a balanced inside out attack. I doubt we can keep them under 100 three times like with Boston
