The last 2 mins was the worst coached basketball I've ever seen.

You gotta put blame on Brunson.... he came in around the 4min mark... then he thought he could outscore the Pacers the last few minutes.

Pretty sure we have never won a playoff series when we lose game 1 on home court. This was so disgusting

I'll say it again: Most embarrassing loss in Knicks history. This is worse than Reggie Miller.

How many times did we f*ck up in the end of this game? Missed FT by KAT and OG, Brunson turning the ball over, Mitch letting Obi get a putback dunk on him and not fouling him on the inbound, Hart getting backdoored, our inbound plays being terrible (what was that attempt at ball movement with that OG pass?).

And to top it off, Nesmith becoming Steph Curry and Haliburton, the most punchable face of all time, giving as the choke sign.

And the wors thing is: we could have turned that sign into a meme if we won the game in OT. But they didn't even do that. Obi f*cking Toppin hitting the dagger dunk and Brunson and Kat basically airballing their shots.

Complete humilitation.

We choked but it also took Nesmith summoning Steph soul to drain how many 3s he had (3-4??) in the last 2.5 mins, and Hali to make an incredibly lucky bounce shot for them to send this to OT...

We were tired and demoralized by their shot making in OT

I really think we have to learn to keep a big lead safer

We play better on the road anyways

I think we win in 6

Nearly threw the ball away twice. Also made that dumbass pass to OG under the basket (the Siakam foul that got overturned) when he should have burned more clock.

It was his worse 40 point game...and he only had 5 assists.

Not able to process this

After sticking with this for so long I may have unrealistic expectations about a certain level of competence once we reach the ECF, but I was deluding myself.

This is still the most talented starting five in the NBA lacking a single player with elite basketball IQ while being led by an often incompetent coach.

It is possible there is enough talent on this team to recover from this and win this series, but I probably will never again be as confident as I was after our performance in Game 6 vs. Boston.

Tonight was a kick in the teeth. I had already made the decision to make this my last season as a hardcore fan because life is short and I can't justify the time I give to this any longer. But nights like this sure make me want to get this season over with so I can move on. I wanted to go out on top and win a ring.

I attended Game 6 of the 1986 World Series and never watched another baseball game ever again after The Mets won and I was praying for a similar story here. Either way, champions or not, I'm done after these playoffs. This choke job just cemented my feelings about living without sports in my life.

Until then, GO KNICKS, you annoying MFers!

I just hate the fouling up three. If they hit another three, you got the last shot to win. So dumb

It’s on coaching
You have deuce and Mitch absolutely locking them up giving them nightmares
And he brings back in Jalen

There’s a reason why last year we pushed them. Because of the DEFENSE

Nesmith knocking down threes like it's NBA Jam.

We had two chances at winning it with both Brunson and KAT getting threes in the final possession. They didn't go down this time.

This isn’t a regular loss where they got outplayed.

It was a full meltdown, and it’s beyond awful and demoralizing.

We choked bad. Curious to see how they bounce back, usually we’ve been able to rely on Brunsons heroics to save collapses like this but tonight we couldn’t so it will be interesting to see how we bounce back.

I knew Indiana would be tough and probably our best challenge so far in the playoffs. Now we get to see what we are made of

Seriously doubt these guys have the mentality to come back from this. Just in Game 1 , the nerves got them slipping and falling non stop

Yeah the first time when it was Hart I was like bad slip. After the 3rd slip I realized they ain't have it in them.

Relax man. Just breathe. I’d rather a meltdown like this in game 1 than game 5 or 6

Rick trusting Obi over Turner in OT speaks volumes. He really isn't as bad as Thibs made him out to be. He does some smart things out there.

I warned about the Pacers’ improbable comebacks in the GT. I had to take a call so I did not see the collapse. We should have held off bringing JB back in the 4th until a time where we have trouble scoring. We were doing well before that. Smh.

Thibs chose to play the foul route when this team can’t make free throws took the cake for me
