With the Thunder being so stacked with talent I'm wondering if a team could persuade the Thunder to part with Nikola Topic - Darko may be enamored with coaching his fellow countryman. What would a reasonable package the Raptors can offer?

He'll just have to settle for Boguljub after we take him at pick 39.

So the rumor has it that one draft prospect snuck orthopedics into his socks to juice his 'barefoot' numbers...

pretty sure that we know who it is.

Is there a source for this?

I could also see Tahaad Pettiford doing this. I was surprised with his measurements. I had a feeling Jase was around 6-0, but Pettiford looks tiny out there.

Somebody needs to post a Tahaad highlights in here, i wished i knew how to do it lol

He sounds like he is already media-trained. Very well spoken. As stated before...comes off very mature.

Is he another Jalen Williams?

This seems like self doubt to me. A guy who can get into his own head and destroy his own confidence. Pro athletes need to be almost ignorant to their shortcomings.

Like he says in the short video somewhere a few posts above...as he says 90-95% of guys aren't going to be star players and certainly not right away. You have to hang your hat on something and for him...it's defence. I like that. Especially with his journey to get to the draft...he knows better than anyone else. I appreciate that.

It’s definitely mature… for the average person.

I don't understand people ranking Jase a full round ahead of Pettiford after watching him play. I just don't see where that gap is.

Ok? That literally changes nothing. lol

You made the claim that Cedric's innocuous quote was indicative of self-doubt which pro athletes are not supposed to have. I provided you with examples of elite athletes with similar quotes to counter your point of that being the case.

Your then going on to provide quotes from other athletes talking about confidence and self belief is immaterial to the argument since I never made any affirmative claims suggesting otherwise. In any case, I'm sure I can also find quotes of Cedric talking about confidence and self belief too.

Bryant said something similar. Said his defense is his strength but it will take time to become a star, but is confident he will get there.

That's great self awareness and confidence without cockiness.

I'm good with Coward at 9 if Masai goes that way, but my only concern is that even though he is long enough to guard the wing, he is very similar to Jakobe already from a size standpoint and we're already pretty stacked with long, 6'5 shooting guards.

The fact that you place those quotes in the same stratosphere shows how lost you are.

“You’re not as good as you think you are”

That is a SERIOUS lack of self confidence. Pro athletes think they are better than they actually are. It’s a necessity for their success.

This whole discourse reminds me of when Bargnani registered the highest ever score for any prospect at the time on the caliper test, and we were told this meant that he had unreal amounts of focus and mental strength. Turns out he likely wasn't affected by failure because he was brain dead and just didn't give a ****.
