The team played great for like 44 mins. I'm broken mentally today.

they started the game terribly on defense and fell behind by like 8

Towns was +9

Mitch 0, even

Deuce was +12 and 0g -12
Deuce played 25 minutes and 0g 42

More Deuce/Mitch, a bit less of each of the starters... could do wonders.

Things Thibs should have done differently to secure that win in the 4th/OT:

-> Kept Brunson off the floor another 1-2 minutes with his 5th foul
-> Not challenged that questionable 4th foul on Brunson. We could have really used that challenge later.
-> Once bringing Brunson back in, should have used Duece and Mitch in place of Hart/KAT for more defense, for at least 1-2 minutes
-> Not switching everything on the perimeter to force them into two point attempts instead of wide open threes
-> Not calling a time out to settle the guys and remind them to use every second of the clock to guarantee a W

Just a masterclass in what not to do with a 14 point lead LOL

sure. also:

not miss free throws (all game long, and big ones down the stretch)
not fail to hold the ball
not make careless turnovers

some of y'all need understand both the wins and losses are shared. but the need to make everything bad = thibs, everything good = players is such a weak look.

Losing a game were we are up 8 with two mins to go is a complete team failure. Brunson, OG, and Josh look really bad on film today. KAT has to convert FTAs. Tom we've discussed at length

Everyone has to be better. Everyone.

Might as well not even have bench players suit up and just give them pom poms and skirts to wear.

I watched local broadcast, they were all on how the deficit of coaching ability dictates who will win the series.

It's on Leon Rose now, our team has accomplished so much on beating the defending champion, but it's still so far from winning a champ.

Just fire this guy as soon as the playoffs end.

Man, this guy has no **** clue what he’s doing at times.

Sticks with lineups that don’t work, and never full commits to things that do work.

He completely **** up what was a feel good season. I absolutely loathe how he coaches. Got completely worked by Carlisle.

Bickerstaff had his ass too, just lacked the personnel to hang. He's by FAR the worst coach in this playoffs.

One of the perks of hanging up my hat as a hard core Knicks fan is I won't have to endure a long off-season of arguments over Thibs being fired only to see him return as the coach next season

I'm so down for skipping all of that angst

Fair weather fandom, here I come!

This is brutal. We are wasting a very talented squad with this clown.

A trade is NOT GOING TO FIX THIS. A coaching change is DESPERATELY NEEDED.

Even adding a Giannis to Thibs wouldn't help. He has no clue how to deploy, it's just one on one offense with lots of luck. He's deploying Brunson like he did Randle, no effort of playing him off ball to get rest. It's the literal definition of insanity.

Our roster is not that good and our coach is even worse.

Both are true.

KAT is never winning a championship in his career as a starting player.
