Who are they going to hire if they fire Thibs? Malone? Bud who failed at Phoenix? Too much is at risk here for Knicks. Bridges trade says they're in win-now mode.

First time Knicks are in ECFs in a generation. No way he's fired. But coaches with recent rings available might just tempt Knicks.

Van Gundy's triumphant return?

Anyone think for a minute that Thibs would've gone that far down his bench? But maybe it's not all stubbornness as the more you pay your starters the more minimum contracts you have to sign.

If I were an owner looking to replace a coach, I'd look hard at Jenny Boucek and the other Carlisle assistants.

Happy for my Pacers pals as always but I'm also hoping my Knicks pals are holding up ok. You guys are probably where I was a couple weeks ago. Basically, "What is this voodoo and why is this happening to me??"

To me it just seemed like the Knicks couldn’t get timely stops.
Couldn’t stay in front of Haliburton and couldn’t rotate fast enough when they doubled.
Bridges and/or OG has to take the challenge here in games 3 & 4 and become a Hali stopper (limiter) so everyone else can stay home.
Time for them to show why they were worth all the haul given up for them, and while their offense is nice that wasn’t it.

I've been a Haliburton fan, tall PGs are a cheat code, their cadence is just different/awkward.

No, it was 2-1 when Tatum went down. Brown was clearly not as explosive or as dominant on defence because of the injury. KP is still a 20 ppg regardless of if he played last year or not.

I don’t want to derail this too much. Congrats Pacers!
Right. They were down 2-1 and down 9 late in the game when tatum got hurt despite him having his best game they were once again being outplayed in the 4th. They were clearly being outclassed and also on their way to a 3-1 deficit.

Do you guys even like basketball?

Let me go check the market size rankings so I know if I'm allowed to like a particular series

I want to ask the same thing, why should i care about the casuls and the ratings of the richest, most popular Sport league in the world?

Indy style of pace and defending with so much high press is very fascinating to watch. The same with Thunders style of defending and fast breaking teams to death. Two teams with a lot of depth, playing 10 guys.
I would find it exciting finals IF both team won their series. I love the game and want to see new teams shine. :)

Thibbs teams always collapse around this time like clockwork . They need to turn Towns into a SG

Maybe Knicks should have Mitchell Robinson start instead of OG? Try to pound em on the boards

Which of his other teams have "collapsed" in the conference Finals by losing the first 2gms by a combined 8pts with one going into OT?

I hope the Pacers can go all the way, they deserve it. My fav team in the last 2-3 years after the C's.
Let's get game 3.
Good assessment:

They have pounded them on the glass, first game they were +7, 2nd +6. TOs have been killing the Knicks.
We couldn't capitalize on them, but the Pacers are doing it.

The series is (almost certainly) over. I think the game 1 choke really took the wind out of our sails. Hats off to Indiana, the Knicks could extend it to 6-7 games but at this time I think we just lack the firepower.

They are gonna have to slow the game down to have a chance. KAT has been very good aside the occasional dumb play. feed him in the post

It seems like the Knicks have been playing right into the Pacers hands by running with them

Pacers should be careful for game 3 unlike last series against Cleveland.

Pacers fans will be going nuts in game 3 I imagine. Wonder if that lights a fire under the Knicks or if they’ll fold to an early run

Holy ****. That Jaylen Brown Tweet you have as a sig. Makes me like him even more, as a Red Sox fan (since Indy has no team) I take trips to Boston to watch games and so I can never hate the Celtics like I probably should. But that Tweet makes me like Jaylen even more. Off topic rant, if anyone wants to skip

That hits because when I was young I got in fights pretty much anytime someone came at me sideways. Was always in trouble at school, but school wasn't my priority, it was surviving home. Hell, even beyond school I ran the streets and was shot up (hence: Bulletproof) I just wanted to keep my head down and get through the school day quietly, but we all know kids push buttons. So I never hesitated to push (or punch) back. I had a teacher, Mr McGill who basically told me I was going to be a loser. That I should drop out because I was depriving other kids of a better experience at school. I was dragging the "good" kids down with me, so I should just leave.

It's funny, I'm successful now. Everything I live in, drive or what not is paid for in full. Yet, if I saw Mr. McGill today, I still can't promise I wouldn't hit that old man. Beyond how he treated me, he had some very strange comments about a girl in our class, and her mother. Repeatedly. I also wonder how many other kids he treated like me. I wouldn't be shocked if he was some kind of pedo. He was ... weird. I hope he wasn't a teacher for long.

I'm just reading your reply now and I'm really happy to read how well you turned out to be. That's the proof that life is like a wheel. We're not in the same spot forever, we can change and become better in spite of the circumstances that we were before. I'm proud of you, man. Keep up your great work. Don't hold grudges for that teacher of yours, he might have had his mental health problems as well (or he was just insane, lol).
