Thibs adjusts his offense based on his players. The offense looks like that because that is how brunson plays. In Chicago he would run triangle offense plays without rose

I like him but ew on the Penny comparison, sorry but Penny at his potential peak would have easily been more talented, he had point guard skills combined with a Jordan-like midrange and post mastery. Hali is A+ for bball IQ though and is a great player in his own right though, and better 3-point shooter, though I wonder if Penny focuses more on that in today's era and includes that in his game as well.

Trying to compare curry and Hailburton is comedy. Curry can perform on any system because what he does is elite its levels. Hailburton was team USA’s biggest cheerleader for a reason

After watching him for a while, my ONLY concern was will he take the last shot, and will he be clutch? This shot ended those fears for me. After this game I remember an interview and they asked what happened, he said in the huddle he told everyone .... "give me the ball, get out of my way, and let's go win this ****" ..... Pat Beverly had been harassing him all game.

This was 2023, and it's when I really started to understand we had something.

He really isn't worth it. His defense is meh at best. He isn't as switchable on defense as someone like Caruso due to lack of strength. He doesn't pressure the rim AT ALL. Over reliant and over confident on his jump shot which isn't that good to begin with. Not to mention his shaky handles and bad decision making.

Oh, yeah, he was very good, especially from 2017 to 2020. He's not at that level anymore on the defensive end. He can still put out good defensive performances and really notch it up for key defensive stops and defensive runs but he's not the consistent defensive force that he used to be.

There are not many players who look great no matter what the offense looks like. You can put magic in a Paul Westhead offense like in 1981 and he doesn't look like magic anymore.

He is a taller Steve Nash who doesn't get abused on defense like Nash did. That is a superstar
