If the Bucks make that trade they just might be able to be a play in team in 4-5 years
Without your own picks a there is no "jump start on a rebuild trade"
The trade IS the rebuild. And no there isnt a team that is gonna put together an offer that allows that
As for your last part if the Bucks manage to make just one good trade with a secondary piece within the next 2 years (much like MaJon for KPJ as an example) then yes I would say they'd be able to pretty easily have a better team in 2027 then that package provides
Okay was just messing with you a bit since you are so happy to insult other posters whose opinions you don't like. I know you mean this post.
So on one hand there is no fair value for an MVP, right? Unless SGA or Jokic is coming back you are downgrading. But that's not to say there aren't potential trades out there that might not set the Bucks on a better path moving forward. I won't offer any because you attitude makes it pretty clear it wouldn't matter how convincing I was, that you would poo poo it.
But worth noting I spend most of my time here on the trade board thinking about such matters and I recently made a Giannis trade than even jayMKE begrudgingly conceded was fair. And he's even harder to convince than you appear to be. So I believe it can be done, even if you don't.
And no you don't have to get your own picks back. Brooklyn rebuilt without theirs and made themselves so attractive KD and Kryie signed there and Harden forced his way there. Sure they have a market advantage, but there are ways to build without your own high lottery picks and in fact not having your own picks means you don't have to intentionally be bad for years to gain that value.
Now let me be clear with what I started with. I think the Bucks should keep him. I even think they will keep him, though I think its very much in a reasonable realm of possibility that he asks out. I think a path to relevance with him is really really hard with no assets, Dame getting hurt, and Kuzma being so awful.
Now 2 years from now they can have a bunch of cap space but to go that route means no depth and of course you've used up the best 2 years Giannis has left. I know my Mavs tried to keep winning around Dirk and couldn't and blew assets trying, and then when they got Luka they were always in an asset deficit instead of like most bad teams having extra assets to rebuild with.
