Convenient. You said he destroys franchises… he didn’t destroy OKC or GS.

BK was 3-5 years ago… by your logic, you’re living in the past lol

You are comparing KD in his prime to the guy we have seen over the last 3-5 years. That's what I mean by living in the past. You are further crippling the depth of the roster to bring in a 37 year old Durant who has no fire left in him. We dont need it.

Prime? We’re talking about his mentality and character not his game.

Okay mentality and character it is. He has no leadership qualities to speak of as a vet and has proven time and time again to being soft skinned when people talk about him. He also has never had a problem leaving a situation when things got tough instead of being a leader to make things work. That is his character and mentality.

Those things don’t destroy franchises tho. Kyrie and Harden both wanted out of BK too.

I get where you’re coming from but don’t fully agree.

Not sure if team needs more star power, primary goals should be fixing Mikal's jumper and getting more depth. Dont let Thibs forgetting bench overshadow bench needs huge upgrades.

KAT's defense at 5 is a problem but cant even remember a recently successful team that didnt have a stretch big, we dont have much options to upgrade so you may have to figure out something that works. Mitch has proved his worth in the playoffs playing like a Baby Shaq but can you count on him being healthy again? We were rather lucky with injuries this year with OG too so we gotta expand the rotation to prepare for the worst. We need more players that can handle the ball against heavy perimeter pressure that likes of Nembhard - Nesmith, Caruso - Wallace causes

Now with Thibs out.....

They are more invested in KAT than Bridges. Bridges is also not CAA.

Bridges for a guy that helps better shield KAT defensively like JJJ.

For the right trade I would have no issue moving both but now that Thibs is gone I would put the order of preferred expendable/tradeable assets with the some value as:

1. Bridges
2. Hart
3. Mitch Robinson
3. KAT
4. McBride

Mitch Robinson while needing to be load managed is a game changer defensively.

I could absolutely see them trade Bridges and Mitch for JJJ and Clarke. With JJJ agreeing to extend.

Then Divo for McBride, Kolek, Tucker (salary filler) and a 2nd rd pick

JJJ/KAT/Huk
KAT/OG
OG/Hart/Clarke
Divo/Hart/Wright/Clarke
Brunson/Divo/Wright

My list for the off season acquisitions. Kelly Oubre, Brook Lopez and get Divo back in a trade. Get two of those three would be a HUGE success and bolster the bench. I'd start Oubre or Divo. Lopez off the bench would be perfect.

Memphis has a plethora of C on their roster, so I would wonder if they’d go for Bridges & Kolek & 2nd rounder for JJJ.

Where did Hart go in your proposed deal btw?

Hart was forgotten. I added him back.

This article seems to indicate that Booker could be potentially available. Interesting.

What would it cost? Booker is one of the few I would be willing to trade KAT for either directly to PHx or in a 3 way deal where Phx gets picks.

I think this move makes it more likely we keep the roster. They want to lock in Bridges long term, not trade him. They want a coach that will utilize five out motion offense better. They want more playmaking from Bridges. They want more threes. They want to see younger players getting more time. I don’t expect a major trade. It will be maybe tax payer’s MLE and bunch of minimum contracts.

Yeah, firing Thibs was the "big move" this offseason, I don't expect any major trades.

If we keep the group together as is, we gotta get another wing, PG, and a PF.

Idk if that was the case I think the FO would have come out and said it. I don’t know who might get moved but somebody still might.

We’re going to trade for Coach Bryant’s favorite player, #9 from Duke University and you’re all gonna like it !

I think we’d trade KAT if it’s a clear upgrade for us in terms of fit. Otherwise, we’ll stand pat. My preference is to trade him. Some proposals I’ve seen around that intrigue me:

1) KAT, Hart, Deuce, picks for Giannis in 3-way
2) KAT, Mikal for JJJ, Bane
3) KAT for KD, Dunn, 1st
4) Duece, Tucker, Dadiet for DDV
5) Mikal, Mitch for JJJ, Clarke

I don’t mind grabbing CP3 for the 1yr Tax MLE and then run it back with Mitch in the starting lineup under a new coach.

The Knicks process completely opens up now... regarding young players, veterans...I want our next coach to be willing and open to integrate young players/athletes/development into the current roster and the future of the organization.

0 reason why Pacome, Hukporti, Kolek could not get some type of play to see if they can provide different opportunities with the awesome core we have.

KAT OG Mikal Brunson is a hell of a core with Deuce (possible starter) / Hart / Mitch / Kolek / Pacome / Huk is already a top 3 east roster next year.

I see MItch making the most sense trading. He's NEVER going to be at a higher value. He's on an expiring deal. He's cemented as a top 15 center and the best offensive rebounder in the sport. I think he can snag you a huge bag back.

Still have PJ's contract we can aggregate as well.

Number 1 has zero chance. What picks? Milwaukee will get far better deals if they move Giannis.
