It's never happened. Herro would be the first.

Herro can absolutely help a team win the chip, he just can't do it as a 35min starter and a max contract player. He's a 6th man on a winner and a starter on a treadmill team.

His other path is to become more than just a scorer. That's his evolution. He needs to be the offensive engine and run the offense. 1 way scorers get paid, but always flounder in the playoffs. Always.

That said, Id still pay him. But pay him to flip him. You need that max contract slot to go big game hunting. And I'm absolutely not trading bam.

I believe we were at our best when he was coming off the bench; 93-49, & he's won 6moty too. As a starter we're 110-107.

I see no difference between this and Wade couldn't get out the first round without Lebron or Shaq narrative. A little context of the teammates matter. And no I'm not comparing them as players.

Now Bam fights to stay in games so he can put up empty numbers and fights his teammates for rebounds

Please get this brainwashed idiot out of a Heat jersey and put him somewhere he can win and be respected for the countless things he brings nightly. He’s a Lamborghini parked at a mobile home.

Looks like my prediction from the other day is starting to come true.

Vassell/Barnes plus the 14th pick should be enough to land KD. Gambo is a legit Suns insider.

Makes sense for SA, either Giannis or KD. KD lets them keep most of their assets.

How many big money two guards are the Suns going to collect? Booker, Vassell, Allen, and Beal. I’m not sure how much sense Vassell makes for them unless a third team is involved.

There would definitely be other moves as well. 14th pick for a point guard would be a smart move for the Suns.

Beal is essentially a bench player at this point and not part of the team's long-term plans, they just need to wait a year to buy him out.

Vassell primarily played small forward this season, so there shouldn't be any issues with his fit alongside Booker.

The worst thing that could happen to us is another middling season with an aging superstar guy, and being in negative asset capital for another 3-4 years.

Yeah, just keep the core intact and be patient. Hopefully, Herro takes another leap, Ware continues to physically develop, and Bam adds more consistency from 3. Eventually, a younger star should become available.

And most importantly, just move the deadweight contracts for 3&D players if possible.

This is the way to get out of this situation if they are unwilling to tank for a great pick. Another year, and your freed from Terry, Duncan contracts then if you find a taker for Wiggins to get his last 2 years off your books for a pick you do it and get some expiring contracts back unless you want to hold him for that future trade as salary filler.

Wiggins for any of CJ, Collins, Sexton, Simon’s, Kristaps, Middleton, Tobias, Vucevic, smart, Barnes, Tobias (anyone with a large expiring), bring Mitchell back, bring in a playmaker someway if not in the Wiggins trade and run it back.

Force feed reps to Bam and Herro next to a good playmaker who is finding them in their spots and is creating open looks for them like all these other guys we see continuously being spoon fed around the league.

2026 offseason go hard after Luka, Trae, Fox (if Wembys clots come back) or be very aggressive in the trade market to absorb an elite players contract into our open space for assets.

I just have a hard time seeing us not doing anything big this summer with the east being more wide open than ever but then again I didn’t think we’d sit on our hands all these priors years when Jimmy/Bam/Spo had us on the brink of winning it all and we did.

I like the KD move for them more than Giannis.
Short term rental while Wemby and Castle and their no 2 pick develop. If it doesn't work no biggie, its costs them little in relation to the assets they already have. By the time his deal ends, Wemby would be best player in the league and then they can make a move then.

And KD fits a lot better than Giannis. Giannis, Fox not the best offensively but can work if everyone else is above average shooter. But KD is a lot cleaner fit.

This makes sense. So much high upside for little risk
