Zion/Jokic

Post#1 » by Jkam31 » Thu Jun 5, 2025 6:21 pm

Pelicans: MPJ, Saric, and Naji

Nuggets: Zion and Olynk

Why for pels: Get zions contract and get a productive player in MPJ

Why for nuggets: Get supreme talent in Zion and in games that Zion sits in the regular season they don’t miss a beat with Jokic/Murray/Gordon. If they can get a healthy playoff run with Zion not a lot of teams would match the front court denver would have and Zion can play point foward with the second team. City wise would work with Gordon’s new found shooting and Jokic being able to spread the floor as well

There's simply no point for the Pelicans. MPJ is a wildly negative value contract and they aren't even being compensated with appreciable draft capital here.

all the talk out of New Orleans is they aren't trading or waiving Zion. And I get that. They've already taken the PR hits and if this gets worse then they can pivot to waiving him. But there is no trade market for the guy. And if there is one, then why are they taking a really negative package?

There's no point for Denver either. Zion doesn't fit there, especially with his health situation.

DEN have a very thin depth and now you depleted it for a player that averages 30 games/season? One of the worst trades I´ve ever seen on RealGM

Most posters dont really think about what the other side wants or needs. They just look at the guy they want gone and then look what they like on the other team and proceed to demand it all.

It would be funny if it was not extremely irritating.

nolaPELSfan indeed. Denver guts most of their team for a guy who's never healthy. Sure.

I agree that Zion could just need a change, but with latest talks about lawsuit, will any team be willing to give anything of value for him?

Easily I would but nba teams don’t think
If he’s found guilty the league will take care of him and he’s off your books if she’s lying you got him for a bag of

NGL when I saw the title of this thread I thought it was going to be a Zion for Jokic proposal, and I started getting my flame-proof suit on.

As for the actual deal, I don't think either team touches it.
