How can the NBA salvage this nightmare scenario? What if Silver asked LeBron and Steph to sit courtside at every game, and then the camera can pan to them every timeout and the commentators can try to guess what they're talking about. That would be fun for the fans, but is it enough to draw in viewers? If not, what else could they do?

To avoid this scenario in the future, maybe the NBA Finals can be held in LA every year as a neutral third party location. Then even if we get some bumpkin city in the finals again, it won't matter. The broadcast would just remind viewers that the games are taking place in LA, and then they can zoom in on all the celebrities in the crowd. Imagine all the people that would tune in just to see their favourite celebrities at the game!

It's incredibly lame to b*tch about ratings when the NBA has done absolutely nothing to promote either team all year.

It's even more annoying when you have a homegrown superstar that, before injury, ate the anointed one's lunch for his first game of the year. And in that same month made the then-reigning MVP chase him down the court for a dunk after getting a huge block on the other end.

We all want to go back to the days of the 80s and 90s but those days are gone if all ESPN and the NBA want to talk about are the big market teams. No one would care about Reggie Miller in 2025 either.

The Covid exclusion seems odd to me. Everyone was literally parked in front of TVs.

So it’s really the lowest since four years ago.
