Tiago Splitter hired as Blazers assistant coach. Indication of who we might draft or simply a big man coach?

For sure

I am guessing: Demin, Essengue & Riley would be that list

the way he worded it I'm wondering if it includes current Blazers and potential trade targets

Kasparas:#1-3 Higher
Maluach: Scoaut #1-3 Lower
Murray Boyles: #1-3 Lower
Essengue: Scout #1-2 Much Higher #3 Not sure
Queen: Scout 1+3 Lower, #2 Higher
Newell :Scout 1 Higher, 2+3 Lower
Mcneely: Scout 2+3 Much Higher Scout, 1 Lower
Denim: CONSENSUS MUCH HIGHER*
Penda: 1-3 Much Higher
Riley: 1+2 Much Higher, Scout 3 Lower
Hugo Gonzalez: Scouts 1-3 Much Higher
Patti Sandfort: Scouts 1-3 Higher

*My closest Eastern Conference buddy actually said he thinks Portland pushed as hard as they did at the end because they had Igor “around 4 to 5” on their board. That’s just speculation based on some things he’s heard, so take it with a table spoon of salt.

I’ve been doing a ton more NFL stuff this Spring/Summer and I’m just now catching up with my NBA people.

Just to clarify, the # is the number of scouts that think the Blazers are higher or lower? For example, Kasparas = 1-3 scouts believe the Blazers have him ranked higher than the consensus?

So basically, Denim is the pick?

There does seem to be a lot of smoke around Demin to Portland. I am hoping it's a smoke screen and that they are focusing on players with more potential scoring ability than Egor but I don't think our FO is that sneaky and don't think very many will be surprised if he is our pick.

I am assuming he means 3 scouts, and if it says 1 – 3 that means all 3, & if it says, 1 &/+ 3, it means scout 1 and scout 3

Pretty much lines up: Demin, Kasparas & Essengue at forward over Bryant, not sure all 3 will be there, but if they were, it would be interesting to know where POR has them ranked

Not surprised about Riley, he fits the profile, if POR got #16, could see him being the swing there, maybe McNeeley or a surprise swing on Penda\Gonzalez

Hope they are right about CMB\Queen, I don’t like either as a fit for Portland

Thanks for the input. Much appreciated.

Any ideas on the following players (some of my favorites if we pick up a second or third pick):
+ Richardson
+ Coward
+ Theiro
+ Yang

If you guys put together a list of like 10 players you want me to ask about I’d be happy to to.

Ryan Kalkbrenner, up or down? I'm up.

Ryan reminds me of a 7'1" mini Clingan.

A center rotation of Clingan and Kalkbrenner would give the Blazers a 24/7 lid on the rim and full time paint protection. Instead of counting blocks, they would rack up spikes.

Plus Ryan can score.

The guys I'm highest on are Clifford, Coward, WCJ, Wolf, Fleming, Bailey, Kasparas, Demin, basically in that order.
