Jason Kidd Didn't 'Always Enjoy' Being Mavs Spokesperson Following Luka Doncic Trade

Jason Kidd didn't "always enjoy" being the unofficial spokesperson for the Dallas Mavericks after they traded Luka Doncic, sources told James L. Edwards III of The Athletic.

Kidd failed to address the media following a February 10 game against the Kings in which Daniel Gafford was injured.

“I just needed a break,” said Kidd about missing the media appearance. 

The news comes following rumors of Kidd and the Knicks having "mutual intrigue" over the team's vacant head coach role.

The Mavs are expected to deny any request to interview Kidd should the Knicks reach out.

Kidd was behind the whole Luka thing. No coach would agree to letting a generational player walk away when there was no need. Kidd sees the AD/Kyrie duo more valuable and championship ready. Luka was the type to be able to get coach and GM fired if he didn’t like them or if they failed to win championship. Kyrie or AD don't have that kind of a pull. GM and coach convinced inexperienced owners to pull trigger for their own gains. IMO lol

And yet they for cooper flagg and they are very excited again except Flagg is nowhere near as good as Luka but is flagg AD Max Christie and a first better than Luka.. Maybe I mean that's better than any trade package anyone would give in the end.. I remember NO got the first pick when AD wanted to go to Lakers.. So trade your best player to the lakers get the first pick in the draft..
