Gilbert Arenas has done an incredible job keeping himself relevant

Arenas is basically a more self aware, more accomplished (on the court) version of Perkins. Unfortunately, both TV execs and algorithms, reward outlandish takes that garner attention for their absurdity.

Gil is a very smart guy with a lot of really valuable insight to offer.

Unfortunately he is also lowkey racist, and chooses to make outlandish statements to get attention. I also don't know why he chose McCants for his podcast, that guy did NOTHING in the league and somehow makes LeBron look humble.

Gil (with Nick Young carrying the jokes) and Jeff Teague have the most entertaining basketball talk shows out. Much rather listen to them then hear SAS and Skip Bayless yelling their hot takes.

I don’t listen to his show, but everytime I see an article about it, it is because he has a SAS/Skip-esque hot take.
