Sacramento - Dallas - Brooklyn

Post#1 » by Godaddycurse » Wed Jun 11, 2025 1:08 pm

Sacramento trade: Monk, 2029 swap w/ LAL or BRK
Sacramento receive: Johnson

Dallas trade: Klay, Hardy, 2029 LAL 1st
Dallas receive: Monk

Brooklyn trade: Johnson
Brooklyn receive: Klay, Hardy, 2029 LAL 1st, 2029 SAC swap

Why for Sacramento: upgrade front court, still has all their picks for an all in move
Why for Dallas: commit to AD timeline and get a playmaker while keeping PJ
Why for Brooklyn: add a high variance future 1st for johnson

I hope they do not trade that pick for Monk. I'm only interested in him if the cost is PJ Washington. Because I don't see Dallas paying Washington. And Monk doesn't warrant an unprotected pick no matter how much anyone wants to tell me that Luka means that pick is in the 20;s....

Mavrelous values PJ more than that pick so thats where inspiration for OP came from..

Oh he values PJ Washington probably at least double what any other poster values him at. :D And if PJ was locked into a reasonable deal he might have a point. But with a deal he almost certainly doesn't extend from and with AD/Flagg playing his position, he's the asset to cash out on before the pick imo.

Sacramento out: Derozan, Monk, 2028 (top 4, then unprotected) 1st
Sacramento in: PJ, Johnson, Powell

Dallas out: PJ, Powell
Dallas in: Monk

Brooklyn out: Johnson
Brooklyn in: Derozan, 2028 SAC (top 4, then unprotected) 1st

I dont hate this for all 3 teams either.. hmm might be better than Op

Dallas is owed 2 unprotected 1sts from Sac /green font
I don't want to trade PJ, but if we're talking about this deal, I'd send Klay to DEN for flotsam, BK shouldn't mind, they are getting unprotected 1st for CamJo, maybe Sac should replace the swap for 2-3 seconds, they shouldn't trade anything unprotected until the Arco arena curse is lifted.

Monk doesnt warrant a FRP, let alone an unprotected one. Good grief, this guy hasnt transformed 180 degrees from what he was in Charlotte. He's a smaller, more accurate THJ. No thanks

Klay is expiring. I don't think it takes a 1st to dump the contract. It could be extremely embarrassing to part with a pick to dumb Martin as well. The clever GM trade a 1st and Grimes for Martin. I may do a PJ-Monk swap.

I mean even if it's Martin instead of Klay, it could not be done as long as Nico is still the GM.

Anyway, Klay is on short contract. The Mavs need not dump him with pick.

from nets side i think both are very close, would probably prefer the top 4/then unprotected 2028 sac pick. good stuff.
