People talk about Beal like he sucks. He averaged 17.6 points per game during his time in Phoenix on a team where the usage was dominated by Booker and Durant. In Phoenix 41% from 3, 60.3% TS, 4.4 assists. Availability has been an issue. The Suns tried to be the 2011 Miami Heat(more likely the 2020 Nets), a few weeks before the new CBA made teams like that nearly impossible, and they've paid a pretty stiff price.

Beal's probably like 6 -10th best SG in a league loaded at that position (using Spotracs stated positions). It's just he's the highest paid SG in the league and the second highest paid SG happens to be his teammate.

There is no chance he is getting bought out., especially two years. Can't imagine he's getting traded either. there is just not enough capspace out there, and he's got that no trade clause. Maybe a Detroit or a team like the Magic (prior to the Bane trade).

Beal will be more valuable next offseason, as an expiring. Either as a team looking to clear cap space, and potentially to the Suns to create a trade exception if there is space out there. Or if nothing else to the Suns as an expiring.

The stage is set for a Beal revival...except for the arrival of Green. If they flip Green for a serious frontcourt upgrade-which they could get, imo, and draft well...Beal IS still capable of having a big year. The KD, Booker, Beal fit made no sense...now KD is out of the way and Beal is REALLY difficult to trade - so PHX should just double down and stop talking like he's some empty piece of $50m (like Lillard with a serious injury)...this happens where a player's deal and situation make them an albatross and the conversation takes them lower and lower and people no longer consider the guy is actually a good player. Being a DEEP negative value doesn't make a bad player (Lavine, Wiggins in MIN, Tobias...). If I'm PHX, I give one more year of trying...I'm sure as hell not buying out two seasons of $50m + to watch him win a ring with LAL on a vet min.

Suns made their bed and are now sleeping in it. As far as the pieces they have goes, they can try and do small ball and see what deals are offered to them. I wouldn't want to be in their teams position but as far as stacked talent goes they have more then enough to keep things interesting.

If Beal is bought out would love if the Magic made a run at him.

That stuff is a bigger problem when the dude is making $50M.

Not as big of a deal on a veteran minimum.

I don't think he's getting bought out though.

I feel like he would be a great sixth man doing what Cole is supposed to do.

You read that article/interview? The reason why coach Budz and Beal clashed?

Beal felt disrespected and said "dont compare me to anybody" or something like that when coach Bud asked Beal to play like Jrue.

Jrue.. the ultimate team player? The glue guy? The player wr hoped Suggs could be?

If Beal doesnt wanna play like that and feels disrespected... then yeah.. im staying away

I really don't think Beal has much choice at this point. The writing is on the wall. Guys who are waived typically don't remain starters. Wherever he goes he will have to take a lesser role if he wants to stay in the league. If it's not with the magic, it will be with someone else.

Beal is going to get a reality check if he is released.

Dont worry... Beal is still laughing his way through the remaining 110m he is owed for 2 years.

I myself am willing to coast, bum and subject myself to socmedia abuse for 2 years for even half of his contract.

I will agree if he still believes he is the same guy he was in Washington I don't want him. But whatever team he goes to, if released, he will not be seen as star. He will have to adjust his game the same way Westbrook did post his Laker days if he wants to stay in this league.

Can we take a chance on that? We are as close as ever for an ECF appearance since the D12. Are we gonna gamble on it on Beal totally changing his mindset and play team ball?

Whether being a 6th man, a 3rd/4th option or a bench scorer?

If he changes his mindset, yes. A guy who can shoot and score in bunches off the bench on a cheap contract, would do it in a heartbeat.

Technically wouldn't be making 50 a year with the Magic and this team needs proven scorers.

Beal had beef with coaching stuff. Again. And again.
Beal was benched to force him to remove his No Trade Clause.
Beal laughed them off - "Brad worked really hard to earn a no-trade clause." - his agent
“I’m still playing in the NBA, I still have the best job in the world, and I still have my no-trade clause. So I’m smiling every day. "- Beal
Suns want Beal gone, but only idiot would want him on his team to being with

Suns are ran ( ruined ) by Mat Ishbia who knows less about basketball than majority of reddit flaming kids. They won't drop Beal.
Suns simply aren't capable of making any moves, ones they make, make no sense for them. Nobody told them they have 3 shooting guards on 9 men roster, where 6 other guys aren't even starting level players.

They will probably draft SG with 10th pick

Beal won't accept bench role. Period. If he is cut, he is type of guy who probably won't even play in nba again. Like, we talk about player who's mindset is this:

Bradley Beal on being eliminated from the playoffs:
“At the end of the day, it’s just basketball. I’ve got money, some don’t know where their next meal’s coming from. There’s always next season.”

He is your 5-9 desk worker that does bare minimum and plays video games when boss isn't around but sucked off last boss who gave him permanent contract and max salary.
Life is what happens when you're busy making other plans. -John Lennon

On the other hand, Beal will land in MIA and tear us one 4x a year. He may (or may not) be a jerk, but he’s been a very formidable player recently in a crappy situation. Coach Budz is far from universally beloved by players - so the “play like Jrue” story could have smelled a lot different in person.

He’s attacked constantly by lookeeloos and may just be doubling down on the “F y’all, I have a NTC” villain role as a defensive response…maybe not ideal from PR perspective, but this guy has a lot of pride as a (formerly?) great player sent to a dumpster fire of an org and being constantly criticized.

Fire up a trade scenario and email it to Pat Riley. I enjoy misery.

No way in hell the Magic are going to pay $50 mil plus for Beal who has made every team he has been on a losing franchise. If he is bought out, he is going to the Heat as he has claimed to want to go there for years.
