They get younger guard on an expiring and 2 probably early 2nd rounders. Solid move. Can probably trade Simons again to move Porzingis.

If Simons got traded for 2 seconds and as a money-saving move, I don't think he has much value. Especially if you add Porzingis to the move.

He doesn't have value if they didn't plan to resign him. They must prefer Shaedon Sharpe and Scoot Henderson as their guards moving forward. I could also see them drafting a guard with their FRP this year. Jasper or Fears could go to them.

Simons is 26 and averaged 20 PPG the last three seasons. He definitely has value, albeit not at the max. I could see him being a 6th man for a good playoff team.

Problem with Simons is he plays literally zero defense. We all saw that dudes who can't play D don't even see the floor in the playoffs unless they're elite scorers. This is 100% a cash saving move, and a good one for that purpose. I think they'll have to attach picks or players to move off of Porzingis next with how terrible he finished the year.

2 of those seasons he averaged 20 with bad efficiency for his volume and in the other one he was playing off Lillard. His offense is not enough to overcome how bad of a defender he is. His offense is dependent on his 3s.

If he had more value than this, Portland could have gotten a 1st at least for him.

Currently and with his contract, he's not that valuable

He's worse than Collin Sexton. How much value do you assign to Sexton?

Answer: Barely any.

WSH killed that trade. They are cornering the market in big expiring deals.

It was pointed out on the other board that the deal could be a signal that WSH has pivoted from Bailey (thinking he won't be available and not wanting to trade up?) and has Fears in their crosshairs.

It makes literally zero sense for NOP.

As bad as we think we have it sometimes, it could always be worse. What a dumpster fire.

With recent reports regarding KD and the drama he's had with Kerr, Nash and now Budenholzer, LeCorn has got to to be breathing a major sigh of relief.

Durant really one-upped him during the same era when it came to hopping teams and clashing with coaches. People won't even remember LeCorn's crimes.

Still with that funky left-handed stroke. I love the kicking out of the leg on the post up turnarounds. Someone needs to tell him that's an offensive foul now.

FVV just re-signed/restructured in Houston, allowing them to offer someone the N-TMLE.

James Harden has a player option...

I'd sign him to a vet min if Embiid/Maxey/Morey are cool with it. With Yabu likely out of our price range, there aren't many free agent PF options (Boucher, LaRavia, ?).

He's not a starter, but he played decent playoff minutes for the Clippers this year. The window of him being a potential distraction is in the rearview mirror. Worst-case scenario, he's a 5th big.
