It matters how you lose. Does anyone see INDs, or DENs season as a failure this past year? On the flipside, CLEs or MINs?

It's not about always winning the championship, of course, that's important, but when you continue to lose the way the C's have lost, it's unacceptable to me. The common denominators are Brad, JT, and JB. Pretty sure that's why Brad left coaching. To me, JB is the odd man out and the first real domino to a reset.

The 2nd apron has a lot of basketball-related implications that go beyond just the luxury tax though that's the thing. To name one, you can't aggregate salaries if you're above the 2nd apron in trades.

So yes, it's both a cost-cutting (luxury tax savings) but more importantly is about being less hampered by the rules if you're out of the 2nd apron.
