I still want to know who this supposed max player could potentially be.

Their hope is Luka but they are also opening themselves up to pretty easily accept a star player who wants out next summer by being able to absorb them into our space instead of having to match contracts. Seems like a last ditch effort for this group, if we don’t land a star next summer we blow it up.

So what about a three team deal with Sacramento and LA where we send it Wiggins, Rozier and 20 and get DeRozan and Monk, LA get Wiggins, and the Kings get Rozier, Knecht, Rui, Vincent, and our first?

Anytime think that could work? I don't want DeRozan but I do get the vision at least.

I think there is a path for Wiggins to the Lakers but it will have to be a 3 to 4 team trade. And the path would be with the Kings. In which the Heat gets Monk. A trade center around Wiggins to the Lakers, Hachimura to the Kings and Monk to Miami being the main desired players of the trade. I would believe Miami would want send the filler players elswhere and at least attach Rozier to be dumped somewhere likely a 4th team.

The cap space offers multiple layers of flexibility. We can sign players and we can bail out teams pressed in the apron for contracts and draft picks. Stop thinking that getting off Wiggins isn’t going to be useful. If he sucks and opts in next year we are back to square one kicking the can down another year.

Very possible. This could be the further discussions. Adding teams complicates matters and takes more time.

2027 = Lottery to the Heat, non-lottery to Hornets
2028 = Heat's pick if 2027 conveyed to Hornets, Hornet's pick if 2027 pick was made by Heat. (No protections)
