Most favourable of Bucks/Pels is could be the top pick in the draft next season.

I'm still waiting to hear that it's least favourable or something.

Well Milwaukee gets the least favorable.

It has to be most favorable.

The 2026 Pelicans pick is is swappable with the Bucks pick by virtue of the Jrue Holiday deal- that deal included a 2026 pick swap. Those aren’t 2 separate picks the Pels have the rights to.

Unlike in 2027, where New Orleans does get both, or did, but now send the least favorable of theirs/Milwaukee to Atlanta.

Confusing as hell. Same 3 teams’ picks involved but a different trade.

Crazy how many picks the Bucks/swaps the Bucks gave up to land Jrue. But hey, it won them a ring.

When Troy Weaver was with the Pistona, I always felt his trades were for the other team benifit, same feeling here.
I don't understand how Dumars and Weaver continie to be hired, ylu really can't do any worse than they do.

Finishing what he started in Detroit. NOLA fans just be grateful you don’t have a ton of cap space….

I’m not a NOLA fan thankfully.

Pels fans felt good with the Fears pick glad the Queen at #7 rumors didn’t come to fruition. Then this garbage happens. I would’ve much rather we just took Queen at #7.

Ya that's the headline of this trade. INSANE not to make it top 3 protected at minimum. We just saw Dallas walk away with the #1 pick from a higher seed, and NO shouldn't believe they are a playoff team next season. I would not be surprised to see them giving up a top 5 pick next year.

And with Zion's injury history and the allegations he is dealing with? One of the biggest disaster draft day trades we've seen in recent years. :o

You can love Queen and make this deal but you have to put a top 4 protection on that pick.

I mean, the second you heard Dumars was a candidate you thought, “that can’t be real, right? He’s old and horrible.” Then he gets the gig and you hope, well maybe he’s better. Then he does an innocuous trade yesterday and, whatevs. But then he goes and trades an unprotected pick to move up 10 spots to 13???? Queen pick is meh to me, but I get people like him. But the cost is just insane. Unprotected, smh.

This is just horribly short-sighted. Dumars is an idiot.

And at #23 they still take Newell-who was often mocked at #12/13 anyway
This is one of the worst deals I've ever seen (or best, of course)

Apparently, Troy Weaver's son is close with Queen, was on Maryland's staff or something. Targeted in on him. But yea, crazy swing gamble. Reckless. But oh well, two lotto talents in the hand, Poole party begins-- at least should be more fun to watch soon (cope crying inside).

There’s four men largely responsible for the sorry state the Pistons have been in for much of the last 17 years. Dumars, Van Gundy, Weaver, and the owner Tom Gores.

It’s wild to me that two of them now work for the SAME front office, and that their times with the Pistons were separated by many years.

It doesn’t feel like it should be real.

What pick in this year's draft would you say has roughly equal value to the 'best of' pick that Atlanta just got?

I the Nets had traded #8 for it I would have thought it was a good deal. Top 3 would be a bad deal. So somewhere in between there.

I haven't followed the Pistons closely, but I felt Gores was hands off owner? it's the people he hired that betrayed him?
Weaver is a piece of work, I remember the summer of 22 and 23, Brunson was FA and CamJo was RFA, instead of going after them, when they were great fits, he helped the teams targeting by selling cap space dirt cheap.
Dumars started off Wow, he built the 04 with some amazing buy low deal on Billups and Rasheed, drafting Prince late and finding undrafted Ben Wallace, but what transpired after that was a disaster.
