Its a good spot for Ace. He will like it there.

I'm a bit nervous about the idea of keeping brown and white tbh. We were a 2nd round exit this year with them so now we're gonna waste a year and still not be able to compete when Tatum comes back. Would've preferred a reset. We'll see how things go.

JB played in one knee since March and it’s not like the Celtics were fully healthy in the playoffs.

A reset and it might be the 1990s again.

It took the Cs 10 years to get to the 2nd rnd again, from 1992 to 2002.

Brown, White, and Tatum are a championship core.

Just need to surround them with the right pieces.

Nothing is certain in the draft lottery.

The Cs got the perfect reset in 1997 and it was a disaster because Tim Duncan turned into Billups and Mercer.

90s wouldn’t have been so bad had Pittino went with Billups and McGrady and was patiences. Then he gets the Truth but it was Pittino. With that said no full reset.

We are not a worse team because we sent him out. We also weren’t losing without him despite the less than stellar numbers in the regular season.

The jury is still out on just how much we will lose from Jrue, Al, and the Korny group.

Jrue was bad last season too, so we’re not talking Chip Jrue. If we keep Simons and he can give what he has in Portland and maybe more (some defense), then it will be, at worse, a wash from last season’s Jrue.

To me, if we don’t do a big trade, what is done on the margins, from here, will tell us just how far we have fallen.

I don’t know what Utah would do with JB, but if we choose to move him, they will come off more than the spurs would be willing to, given their circumstances. I’d try and work with them, even though #2 is the better initial chip. Then again, Austin knows too much, and DA hates losing trades as much as Brad.

That’s nonsense.

Porzingis was a massive part of our success in 2024.

Saying we don’t lose anything basketball wise by him not being there is hilarious.

We literally LOST something basketball wise by him being a complete zero with his illness this playoffs.

Just because he’s unreliable doesn’t mean he wasn’t important.

This is actually a good point. KP out our ceiling is way lower, it our floor is about the same since his availability is a big component of who he is.

Jrue? Love him. He is declining and that is OK.

The only reason we were able to still be good without Porzingis was because of Al.

Last season Al was able to play less regular season minutes because of Porzingis and was fresh when it mattered.

The team imploded against the Knicks and didn’t have the post up threat in Porzingis we desperately needed.

Saying the team won’t miss him is hilarious.

Horford is like a million years old in basketball years. He’s not just going to continue to be good. He might not even stay.

Have we forgotten in 2023 how fatigued Al looked by the ECF without Porzingis around during the regular season?

It's almost midnight and JB is still a Celtic.

Expect the unexpected, I guess.

So much for it's a sure thing the Nets would trade one of those picks.

Count on it.

No way the nets keep 5 first round picks.

I'd love to hear why you thought the Celtics would trade for a pick from the Nets, hours after making a trade with that exact same team and not getting any picks from them. Surely if they had been interested in any of the Nets picks, the Porzingis trade was the moment to get it.

I'm glad that some of the experts are high on Hugo, he wasn't even on my radar.

I had really just honed in on big men projects and was hoping Brad would have found a way to get one higher up but if he can take Raynaud at #32 I'll be a happy enough man.

I really think Danny Wolf is going to have a solid career. Not a star but a good roleplayer, was cruel for him to fall to #27 and go just before we could pounce.
