The New York Knicks plan to interview James Borrego for their head coaching vacancy. Borrego is currently an assistant coach for the New Orleans Pelicans under Willie Green. Borrego was a candidate last offseason for the head coaching vacancies with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Los Angeles Lakers.
Borrego has previous head coaching experience with the Orlando Magic and Charlotte Hornets.
The Knicks have also interviewed Mike Brown, Taylor Jenkins and Micah Nori for their head coaching vacancy after parting ways with Tom Thibodeau.
Jason Kidd continues to be a candidate of interest with the Knicks' vacancy as he has yet to sign an extension with the Dallas Mavericks.
