I don't think newer fans understand what a joke of a franchise we were before Masai.

We were NOP,CHA levels incompetent and he completely turned it around. I'm scared for the future

I liked Masai. It’s weird how horrible we were for a long time, Masai came in and changed that and ultimately brought us a championship under his tenure and people are still mad at him.

I’m not sure what peoole expected from this organization going forward. They thought we would win the championship every year? Unrealistic. Again I’ve questioned a lot of moves and the direction of the team, but that’s as an outsider. As a fan I want certain results but I can also understand in some capacity why we’ve held on to certain players for so long etc because there’s relationships there that go beyond just stats and basketball decisions and sometimes that affects how organizations do business. That being said I trusted Masai and believed he had a vision. He was passionate and I always believed that even if the results weren’t there he was always TRYING to build a contender and wasn’t just mailing it in.

Who knew the words "**** Brooklyn!" would trigger the start of a "Golden Era" for Raptors Basketball? Masai will be missed.

Thank you for the championship and for always believing in the city and the fans. The Kawhi trade was a great gamble and it paid off huge. It took stones to pull that off. The way he navigated the post championship years was a little shaky but I would have liked for him to at least be involved with the franchise in a background role. He's one of the greats and will be warmly received whenever he's back in Toronto.

Sick to my stomach.

Thank you for everything Masai. Like a dark cloud on top of us now, not sure where we'll go from here. Can only hope for the best.

“I have a great relationship with Rogers”

Bobby really needs to make a “I GOT US” twitter post asap lol not feeling good about this at all lol

But man will I ever miss Masai, just a truly fantastic human being. Don’t even have to wish him success because he’ll guaranteed have that.

Lord is it every spooky hours for us though, this is scary to see how this might turn out…never thought I’d see this day.

Thank you
He did his job well with a passionate heart and brought the raptors to the highest standards
Perhaps a new voice is needed
Let’s all pray the next leader brings the success he brought
Thanks again and wishing you all the best

Best exec the team has ever had, hopefully his parting gift was snagging a superstar for us in CMB.

Legend. Offers will be lined up, starting with the expansion teams... it was inevitable unless Rogers showed leadership. But Rogers is a joke. Their baseball team also a joke.

"The narrative of not wanting to come to this city is gone. I think that's old and we should move past that. Believe in this city, believe in yourselves."

Masai really brought a swagger and confidence to the Raptors that I hope is a permanent fixture of the culture now.

Masai is a well-respected man outside of basketball. Done so many things for Toronto and Canada. He is a case study of what a leader should be.

He will be missed.

Forget a statue of Lowry, we need a statue of Masai saying "**** BKN" while raising the Larry O'brien!

Wish you nothing but the best Masia, you Will be missed!

Got us out of the dumps and made this organization stable and successful for the first time in its history. Hope he goes on to do even bigger things in the future.
