"LeBron wants to compete for a championship," Paul told ESPN. "He knows the Lakers are building for the future. He understands that, but he values a realistic chance of winning it all. We are very appreciative of the partnership that we've had for eight years with Jeanie [Buss] and Rob [Pelinka] and consider the Lakers as a critical part of his career.
"We understand the difficulty in winning now while preparing for the future. We do want to evaluate what's best for LeBron at this stage in his life and career. He wants to make every season he has left count, and the Lakers understand that, are supportive and want what's best for him."

All of these guys are projected to be more variable/versatile on offense. Offense is RJ biggest flaw. RJ can't do anything, just drive to the basket and not really efficient. No bag, no jumper, no off the dribble three, no d, small frame. His limitations on offense are brutal.
Ya. Ok.
He sure drops 30+ a lot for a dude with such limited offense.
8 times is a lot for the leading scorer of a team ? In 82 games ? Ok bud, RJ has the highest usage of all with nearly 29%. That's underwhelming. Gradey had about 4 games with 30+ points. As a sophomore. Everyone knows he's limited and it's not a critic, it's just facts.
Just go watch some curling.
F off.

Just over the tax line in reality. Only bumping up against the first apron because even “unlikely” bonuses count for apron purposes.
that's exactly what i wrote...

regardless of the semantics of the bonuses it still will impact their spending ability in FA

you are basically talking MLE and historically, it hasnt been a great path as most guys want american teams first.
it's the trade market for us and right now, it's 50/50 if iq and/or rj are here when the season starts.

I know what the MLE is and the only reason it'd potentially be notable in this case is that it'd be the easiest route to a decent backup C right now. Otherwise we're looking at trades where IQ/RJ/Ochai/Gradey are probably the most notable trade pieces we can offer in terms of realistic outgoing salary, or we're scrapping the bottom of the FA market and we may not even have clear space to the apron for that right now.
it's not a hard situation to understand. their options are limited.

Shams very recently: "The Celtics' phone lines are still ringing on Jaylen Brown and Derrick White. They've got a very high price threshold. So if someone blows them away, you have to listen on that. Unless someone does that, their preference is to keep both Jaylen Brown and Derrick White. Teams are calling feverishly trying to get their hands on one of these two guys, but again the preference is to keep them."
In other words. RJ and 9 has no chance of getting White. 1. It's not enough. 2. It'd be outbid.
I might be crazy but RJ + 9 is an overpayment, Derrick White is good but not that good
Celtics Reportedly 'Laughed' at Raptors' Derrick White Trade Offer After Tatum Injury
Timothy Rapp
The Toronto Raptors reportedly made an offer for Derrick White before the NBA draft, but the Boston Celtics weren't biting.
"There were reports that the Raptors offered No. 9 for Derrick White," The Ringer's Zach Lowe said on his podcast (41:57 mark). "I'm told that's true, but it happened like a month-and-a-half ago, right after Jayson Tatum got hurt, and Boston laughed at that offer and said, 'We need way more than No. 9 for Derrick White.'"

There's literally no way that is possible. I don't even think a SnT is possible because it hard caps you at the first apron and the wolves are probably over it or would be in a return.
Nor so we need another SG / Jakobe is our NAW

In Raptor Ball I Trust

NAW is more of a combo guard, allows Quickley to play more off ball, would be kind of a similar set up to what Indy has in Hali/Nembhard

I'm glad they didn't take the 9th pick. I like White, but not for the 9th pick.

Shead can PG with IQ at SG if we have to. We already have enough SGs who need playing time. Mikael isnt good enough to take minutes away from anyone.
