Watford is an awesome signing, nice way to cushion the blow of a likely Yabu exit. This has been an excellent offseason imo.

Morey has added good, smart (and young) basketball players to the roster & sometimes it’s best when the plan is that simple.

Something delightfully chaotic about Watford’s game, like a baby giraffe learning how to run for the first time.

I like Watford. Surprised the Nets didn’t bring him back, but they do have a million forwards they just drafted I guess.
always a jump shot away.

His career rebounding rates aren’t terribly different than a guy like Jabari Smith. I think he’ll be a really solid contributor on the boards when he’s on the court.

Agreed, I like taking a shot at Watford hitting some untapped potential, but we still don’t have anyone over 6’5 who is a good rebounder for their position other than Drummond and I hope he doesn’t play another minute for us. Bona is a good rebounder too I guess.

I like this move. Low risk high reward.

Watfords shooting ability allows him to play with all of our bigs - even the ones who can’t shoot like Bona or Drummond (if we don’t move him).

Stretch 4 who can play a little small ball 5. Will pair well with Broome as well.

Nice job Morey. Let’s keep it rolling

Yeah and we’re going to average 30 steals per game next season. We’ll have the possession before they can even shoot.

Teams who average high rebounding numbers are really bad defensive teams because it just means they are bad in generating steals and deflections 8-)

They said the same thing about Paul Reed.

You’re a good player if you have a highlight lasting more than 6 minutes

Wow, pleasantly surprised with Watford.

Morey margin magic.

Really fun player who brings passing, ball handling & rebounds well. Strong initiator on fastbreaks, can operate the p&r as the ball handler and screens well off DHOs. The Nets were significantly better when he was on the court.

24 year old 6’9 upside bet.

I really like Watford in that he's got great positional ball handling and iso-scoring ability. Good playmaker, too. Unfortunately, doesn't have much range on his jumper.

This is a good player, though.

A good rebounder at the 4 or 5 snags one every 4 minutes or less. We were the worst rebounding team in the league last year and we just signed a guy from the team ranking 26th, who averaged a board every 5.77 minutes and is a below average 3 point shooter. The stocks aren't great and while Watford had good assist numbers, his turnovers were high. A good cheap signing, but nothing to get even remotely excited about.

Apparently a Nuggets reporter for The Athletic said it doesn't look like Yabusele will be returning to the Sixers.

I don’t see any team offering Grimes a $20M deal. Guys like Ty Jerome and NAW got significantly less, and even Malik Monk is only rumored to be signing for around $15–16M.

But.. Danny Ainge lose Jordan Clarkson so he might be that d*ck.
