My goodness that is a shocker!

But now they have 22m in dead cap space the next 5 years. Though, to be fair, so do we

Can we trade Patrick for the dead cap space?

Looks like the Bucks are basically all-in on the "do anything to stop Giannis from asking out" plan and didn't think they could afford to wait on Dame (particularly because who knows how good he'll be at that age after an Achilles tear).

He the Captain now. (In fairness, should have been the entire time).

This seems like a crazy move. They don’t have a PG.

Maybe they can trade for Carter. He had success there.

Crazy that Pacers won’t pay the tax to keep Turner.

Crazy Bucks eat 20M per for Lillard.

Pacers got worse and Bucks have no backcourt for Giannis. They will have to get vet min old heads out of retirement. Those guys can’t run in this pace NbA either.

The league has completely changed and I love it!!!

They didn't before and were reliant on Lillard coming back near prior level to have one a year from now. What picks can they trade? Coby? Wonder if they'd have been interested in Lonzo and desperate enough to give something of more value than Okoro (not hard to do IMO).

Porter Jr. has played there before, and they could give MLE split to a guy like Mann (or one of the many other FA guys who have played competent, or at least passable, PG - CP3, Russ, Reggie Jackson, Monte Morris, Brogdon, Dinwiddie, Delon Wright, Cory Joseph, Fultz - who is actually good outside of the shot issue, E. Payton, Exum, K.Hayes, etc.)

Imagine how dispiriting this has to be if you're an Indy fan. The team just made the Finals, but isn't willing to pay the tax with Halliburton out next year. One wonders if they would have done it if he hadn't been injured.

with all the players being bought out, traded for peanuts, and signed as FA's in minor deals I think the thing that's most depressing is we've still gt Dalen Terry and Jevon Carter, who face it, aren't worth protected 3rd round picks in a trade but sure aren't going to get this team one game higher in the standings.

I thought they were fond of Carter back in the day. Happy to gift-wrap him.

Does that mean Indiana needs a center now? Maybe a Vooch for Mathurin swap? Also really like Walker coming out of the draft.

I think they’re right to not kid themselves. The team might be toast unless Haliburton comes back 100% in 2026/27.

I was about to praise Milwaukee for doing everything they could to keep Giannis. But he didn’t even sign off on this? Madness.

Man that deal for Turner is one I would have jumped at for us if we coulda. He's exactly what we needed. At least it cripples the Pacers. IMO he was a big part of their success.

Indiana will be significantly worse next season and now they need a starting center.

On the Bucks, I actually like what they did with Lillard. They want to win now and he’s pretty much done. Better to move in and use his roster spot. Also good move to sign Turner but at the same time how much better did the Bucks get ? We ll see what they do next.
