I'd say Denver is now the biggest threat to OKC.

Not Houston?

Them too if Thompson continues to ascend and doesn't get blocked by KD.

Also per Begley:

The Knicks value Yabusele’s versatility off the bench, particularly behind a starting lineup featuring Karl-Anthony Towns and Mitchell Robinson.

Obviously, the Knicks’ next head coach will ultimately decide the starting lineup/rotation for New York. But the fact that the Knicks factored in Yabusele’s role behind a starting lineup featuring Towns and Robinson tells you that there is some internal support for that starting five.

Amen Thompson isn’t getting blocked by anyone. The Rockets value him more than anyone.

Ben Simmons is the final piece. I can feel it!

I can tell you for certain a Mike Brown led team wont have KAT and Mitch in the starting lineup.

And played PG during his Philly days. Will never forget how he took Barretts heart while playing defense. It was at that moment, I realized RJ (like him and all) just wasn't HIM

So the Knicks did want Ayton!
"I'm told the New York Knicks, Los Angeles Clippers, Milwaukee Bucks, Indiana Pacers, Cleveland Cavaliers and Denver Nuggets all had interest in Ayton before his decision to sign with the Lakers," ESPN's Shams Charania reported during Wednesday's SportsCenter.

If he signed for 2 years and $16mil, it wasn't even a real option.

Exactly. And we were not going to wait around with our limited cap space on a hope and a prayer that someone would fall into our lap.

Besides, he's the kind of guy I don't want on my team. He's lazy, undisciplined, and isn't a good defender. And do you really want to picture an Ayton/Towns lineup at any point of a game? Yuck.

We were close to getting our Ayton Knick jersey.

I wanted to trade KP for a pick in 2017 and then in 2018. After we missed the opportunity for Tatum, I was intrigued with an idea of using two picks in 2018 for Ayton and Doncic under an extremely lucky scenario in the lottery. Now the Lakers get that pairing lol.

Character issues of Ayton however a major concern. He was at his best in their Finals run in 2021 where he was able to neutralize Jokic in the series. Too bad it went downhill from there with Monty.
