After being bought out, where will he go? Milwaukee?
Kids played football, drove cars, went to school, celebrated life; while soldiers, heroes, their brothers struggled to find their way home from war; and young boys watched and grew wiser in their dreams.

$110M left on the contract. Buy out would be, for what, maybe $80m? He can recoup the $30M for sure if he wants to go to a contender.

I believe this may have legs

What would be the point?

Did they see the Bucks waive Lillard and think “BUCKS GAVE US AN EXCUSE!” Without any context?

He isn't giving back $30 million. That cat just saw Dame with an almost identical contract get waived and stretched.

Hard to envision Beal giving up money, so it would have to be something like Dame's deal getting stretched. He has about 54 mil due this year and like 57 in a PO next year, so that's a lot of change to stretch out over the next few seasons.

Why did Beal cause so much problem for their offense? I mean he's still shooting .497 field and .386 threes! And only 1.9 turnovers per game. If they had a good Point Guard playing next to Beal would it have worked out? Is it because Booker isn't a PG?

It may actually make sense due to luxury tax considerations.

Suns should have traded Booker and built around Beal and KD

colossal mistake

Booker has been fool’s gold.

The Suns can't do this because there is a limit to how much of your team's salary can be 'dead salary'. The Suns would exceed that threshold if they bought out and stretched Beal, unless he takes a paycut.

Buying and stretching Beal is the dumbest thing the Suns can do anyway, he expires in two years. Take the short terms suffering, and the team would have a ton of capspace in the '27 offseason.

If the Suns wants to go full rebuild, I mean trade Booker and remaining Vets for picks , tank for couple of years and by that time clear this Beal Buyout off the books this makes sense

It’s the only smart way to rebuild , but knowing Ishbia they will fight for play ins for another 5 years then rebuild

If he expires in 2 years , then yeah keep him , but I would aim to trade book or extend and trade , load on picks and expiring bad players , draft well and restart

This Booker extension you guys was talking about it’s the worst thing that can happen to Suns , he isn’t 1A championship type player , maybe 1B at best

I think their problems were more on the defensive end. Also, Beal and Durant missed games

Suns and Bucks legitimately have no idea what they are doing. The FOs are a mess.

At the moment B. Beal cannot be stretched. The Suns have a couple of other players on stretches that put them over the 15% limit.

Exactly this. We need to just let him expire.

Add the fact at D. Booker’s age, he will be on his last legs when the Suns accumulate enough talent.
