Also, why are we hearing nothing about De'Anthony Melton?

Yeah, why aren't we hearing anything about Melton? Is he healthy? Is he available? Should he be a higher priority than Lillard?

Ah, you went off message for this offseason. That should have been "dray AND kerr".

I am pointing more on Kerr. McGee wanted no part of Kerr's big rotation, instead chose Sacto. Now KD blamed Kerr.

And most recent years, no bigs want to be GSW's plan. Al is the closest to being a real big in this decade.... and GSW is competing with retirement.

Using McGee's and KD's decision making is not helping your argument.

I think any big that's a quality starter doesn't want to sit on the bench while Dray closes the biggest games. The numbers certainly back the idea that dray SHOULD close at 5, most nights. That's been the case for more than a decade now and next season might be the first one where he is no longer the best option to close games at center. Might be.

McGee was GSW top FA hopeful. He wanted nothing to do with Kerr. So the prize we got was Saric. Wow... that worked out great, no?

Then GSW wanted KD back last year... KD don't want GSW.

Remember, GSW wanted these idiots you want to make them to be. So GSW are idiots too for wanting them back?

For the price... way better than Poole boy. Needed shooting badly... maybe even as a starting SG.

I remember when McGee went to sac. Sure, we wanted him back. Kind of. Was he the to FA on our list that year? Jesus, I hope not.

KD at the deadline last season? Sure, when we were 18-22 and desperate like a kid on prom night, we barked up that tree. Pursuing kd is a very understandable idea. leaving the greatest team in history because you want a different style of play so you go to Brooklyn with Kyrie and Harden is far less understandable. Wanting to stay in PHX, last season, also seems like a mistake, but I won't complain about getting Jimmy, instead.

In the end, KD got a good situation and I'm happy for him. Again, we don't get centers because dray will close at 5 so it's only backup level players that even look our own way. I get that. Same for pg and, while klay was healthy, sg. Melton and hield sign elsewhere, most likely, if we had prime klay.

The Dubs were the highest paid team in summer of 2023. So they got nothing but vet min. With the midget ball size, McGee was the best Dubs could afford. Every experts expected McGee will sign... perfect match. But McGee wanted nothing to do with Kerr yoyo-ing his playing time.

I actually prefer KD over Butler. KD would have fixed the JK problem, and resolve many of the shooting problem too. I am happy for KD being set until retirement. But it sucks for us Dubs fans even more in competing in the west now.

As far as Dray needing to play center... that is also a Kerr problem. He made it that way, so much so that no real centers want to play for the Dubs.

From the looks of it, Post, TJD, and Saric may be this years center rotation. That is even worse than last year with Looney. I am still leaning on Hortford retiring. :banghead:

Might as well wait until trade deadline... if no Greek Freak, might as well trade Curry and start from scratch.

With val opting to return to Europe, nuggets now have a big backup to jokic hole. I won't be surprised if they make a play for horford too.

Nuggets vs lakers vs gsw vs retirement

I think nuggets can pay the most and lakers the least?

You're right that everyone in the national thought we really wanted McGee. I didn't think this fo was among those voices.

As for blowing it up and trading Curry, I think that's blasphemy

Horford

Would this be the oldest starting line up in history? Buddy would be the baby of the group, lol

Whoa, hold on now, there's still time to trade him for CP3 or Lowry!

Yeah but the sponsorship possibilities are endless. Geritol, Depends, Metamucil, Bi-focal s, Ex-Lax to name a few.

With all this talk of Horford and LeBron and other near retirees, it's even money that someone on the team is playing with a colostomy bag by season's end. :D

Damn... Dubs could have gotten Huff for free, with the trade exception? Huff is an upgrade from Post already easily.

And yet, we are waiting for Hortford to announce his retirement?
