Well you are insinuating Sexton isn't a "good offensive player" and I'd disagree there ... So my point/comment still stands. Market is weird. Teams overpay their own young guys they draft if they want to - But if the original team moves on from XYZ player, seems negative reputation follows guys when it shouldn't. Sexton could help lots of teams.
Ties to this situation - Cause if Nets don't prioritize Thomas, seems like no other team really will or he'll have to "prove himself" so-to speak for said team.
It’s because teams can go over the cap to sign their own vs needing space for a FA. Even if the player doesn’t live up to the contract it can use to move for someone else that they couldn’t have signed.
