Any reason we didn't go after Ayton instead of a 39 year old Al Hortford?

Kerr is waiting for his collection of kangaroos. Landale or bust!

I think the money $8.4M is pretty much NTMLE. We don't have that unless we know what's up with JK.

I can't think of a worse fit for Kerr, Ayton would probably play 20 games, then sit on the bench, then be traded for peanuts or cut. If Draymond or Jimmy don't strangle him first. Ayton embodies all the negative things people accuse Kuminga of, but worse IMO. His numbers don't look bad, but he has a bad aura. Apart from all that, he doesn't shoot 3s so I don't know that Kerr would even have a use for him on good behavior.

I don't get Kerr sudden love of 3 ball for spacing or don't play.

If that is the chase he should have benched his favorite pg for never shooting 3s in Livingston.

you can barely find centers that do not kill your offense these days - unless they can shoot threes.. Ayton has not been a positive offensive player since 2022 and he does not play defense...so yeah hard pass.

Andrew Bogut
Kevon Looney
Iggy

Andre would shoot, but at same percentage as Kumming at .332% ang iggy had 2.3 3PA in comparison to JK's 2.4.

Well... Ayton is awful. Can you imagine the spacing on a starting lineup with Dray, Jimmy and Ayton?

If we think a 39 old center with late 30 year old starters is going to last a whole season plus playoffs were crazy. At least Ayton can start and play significant minutes. The Celtics want him back and they have a chance of winning a championship we do not period.

I was bummed how cheap Jay Huff went, he would have fit in nicely.

They must be very sure they have someone, presumably Horford, or they wouldn’t have let Looney go. Otherwise they are totally incompetent.

I too think Landale would have been handy, particularly given I am Australian.

Ind just signed Wiseman for the min 2nd yr to.
He would have been a cheap 3rd string who is young with potential who was not a 0 in terms of knowing GS system

Horford is a Kerr type of player and Ayton isn't. One shoots 3s, defends, does little things and is good in the locker room. The other is the opposite of all of those things.

Horford has played more consistently than Ayton the last few seasons

Funny if Gibson is the only one left, that Kerr willing to play, after Al retires and JK issue is resolved.
