Bulls sign Yuki Kawamura to two-way deal

Ayone who has played basketball knows what its like to play with a guy like Yuki where

1. If you run and/or don't stop moving you are rewarded
2. If you stop paying attention you can get a ball to your face

This will help condition our WCB guys and practice guys when he's called up to this style which helps Giddey and overall basketball play in general.

He's 6-7 and he shot 39 and 38 from 2 his last two years at TCU

I guess overall he brings diversity at the position as your 2 ways are an undersized PG only, a 2-3 who has shot 3's in the past and a 4-5 who is big fundamental. Maybe you want that balance.

With all that said I'd agree with you. Periera I would assume is back, he played with Yuki at Memphis G league last year and his bread is buttered with their connection. He will be 25 in August too. (Miller is already 25)

I wonder if there is an outside the box role for Yuki in the NBA. He can shoot 3's which is huge that means you can't sag on him although he should get blocked every time he takes it to the hole.

I wonder if theres a 5 minutes a half situation where he just picks up their PG full court and drives him nuts. Picks up an offensive foul, tires out their PG. There is something a backup coming in and putting the throttle all the way down for 5 minutes.

Probably won't amount to much in the NBA (but Jahmir Young wasn't going to either). But it'll be awesome to see the WCB with an actual PG.

The summer league roster was mostly WCB guys anyways.

I think if you put him with giant defensive wings that can fly up and down the court is his best shot. Hes a great fit with Buz and Noa and a rim runner C.

He will get a look in cleanup duty. I think he can be a disruptor of momentum and rhythm against another team.

There was never a window to 'sell high' on Lonzo, what a ridiculous thing to criticize.

We were offered a 1st round pick at last season's deadline, and if that's your only point of contention then my point stands.

Yeah, I love Yuki and really wanted this 2-way deal, but he'll never play meaningful minutes in the NBA. Opposing teams will just pick-and-roll until an athletic 6'8" dude is being defended by Yuki. Yuki can be that 3rd PG spark plug that comes in and hits some 3's and finds some lobs for instant offense, but he'll always be a huge defensive liability.

I'll cheer for the kid though.
