There aren't too many drastic changes they can make with this roster. Its either start Hart or Mitch and you need to save Mitch for the playoffs.

i just had a thought...if deuce becomes a starter then his representation and camp would demand significant pay raise in his next contract; if the knicks intend to keep him, then they would most likely want to do so in a team-friendly manner

It amazes me how shocked some of you are that assistant coaches or even players don't want to come here. You must live in a bubble because many people who aren't from the NYC area would never want to live here. They think that NYC is a cool place to visit, but to live here for an extended period of time....nope. NYC isn't for everyone. Most of us grew up in the area so we're bias.
