LOL. Joe is the only coach in the world who the Knicks haven't asked permission to contact.

Others coaches the Knicks haven't contacted : Erik Spoelstra, Steve Kerr, Gregg Popovich, Rick Carlisle, Mark Daigneault.... Seems to me the criteria New York used for its search is perceived availability rather than ability.

I love both these posts.

Good. With all the shooting the Celtics lost they need a coach that can implement good spacing principles.

We'll see how effective he is with a gutted team. I suspect not so well...

I get it, but I don’t like it. He may not see the end of this extension tbh

The team won a ring in 2024 and sold for $6 billion. I'm not the biggest Mazzulla fan, but he deserves an extension for what he did for the team, city and owners' pocketbooks. Hopefully, he keeps improving as a coach and we win it again!

Congrats, Joe! Obviously Brad and the rest of the org believes in him. I do too.

He's still very young and I'm confident that he'll keep getting better as a coach.

Look forward to many more years with him at the helm and more championships!

I don't think that this version of the Celtics are capable of losing enough, to be Tank-worthy.

I'm happy about this both from someone that thinks Joe is a solid young coach that works hard to improve and has the respect of his players AND someone who loves watching a certain segment of the boards reaction to certain things.

He is an odd duck. But he does have the highest winning % of any NBA coach of all time. I'm OK with it.

Imagine tearing down the roster and identifying this serial killer as a must keep.

Stevens is on watch officially now that he doesn't have all Danny's chips to work with.

What a joke.
