That would suck, I love Deuce.

His salary slot is kind of small so I'm curious who he could be traded for

Kessler?

Deuce and Kolek for Kessler is not bad… Kessler is owed 4.8 million this upcoming year and only 7 million in 2026/27.

Looking ahead, that’s a move I would most definitely want to make.

Utah won’t trade Kessler to us. We tried already and they want a boat load of picks.

At first I thought Brogdon was like 35 and this was just a TC invite but he's 32 and won Sixth Man just 2 years ago so who knows. He is really injury prone and hasn't even played 40 games in 3 of the last 4 seasons and shot poorly last season (28% from 3). I say first see if he's even healthy and if he can return to form shooting the ball in TC and PS and if he does, he's a solid vet to have at the end of the bench.

We need to trade or sign another 4 or big wing. Any ideas?

This is a loaded roster. Very pleased with how the front office tackled this offseason

Deuce's contract is too small to net anything other than cap relief. And honestly, can't imagine trying Deuce just to 3rd/4th stingers.

Yep!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It would make 0 sense!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a great signing. Our depth is looking really nice.

My guess is that if Mitch doesn't sign an extension, the Knicks will trade him for a lesser salary to make room.

Kessler makes a lot of sense for McBride plus Kolek or Dadiet. They are young and can eat some salary, plus they have been using Filipowski more and more, while we may not really want to extend Robinson at his asking price. We should be interested in Kessler either way, given he’s top-5 in both, shot-blocking and offensive rebounding.

How bigger is kolek’s contract then?

2.1 vs. Deuce's 4.3. Deuce's contract gets even smaller at 3.9 next season.

Kyler, Deuce, and picks is most likely a starting asking price for Kessler. I think a Mitch extension gets done either way.

Fine. Looking at Kessler as a player and the fact that he’s signed through 26/27 at only 7 mil, I don’t care too much about the asking price anymore. IMO, we should’ve overpaid for him long ago

Good signing considering how disappointing kolek was in the SL.

At this point, with the teams aspirations(if the math works) id be cool with em moving kolek to keep brogdon. Id rather gamble on his health than kolek being an nba player. Kolek's defense is terrible and he isnt good enough on offense to make up for that flaw.

My dream offseason was Clint Capela with the taxpayer MLE and Brogdon for the minimum. Yaba and Brogdon is also a win for me.

I love Brogdon’s fit on the roster, mainly because it allows us to run lineups with him and Brunson in the backcourt, allowing Brunson to operate off ball at times. He has SG size, has been a good defensive player and knock down shooter though out his career.

He struggles to stay on the court - and let’s be honest about our team - our chances of having a deep run depend on OG Anunoby and Mitchell Robinson being healthy come playoff time.

It wouldn’t surprise me if one of Kolek or Dadiet are moved to create space for both Shamet and Brogdon. Doesn’t seem like there are going to be any minutes for Kolek with Clarkson and Brogdon in the mix, and it makes sense that a win now team prioritizes veterans. I’d prefer to keep Dadiet around but it’s harder to find guys with his size and athleticism.

This is huge been begging for back up point. It just ain’t really hit yet that we have this much potential. Reminder Mike Brown Plays a deep rotation. So this is really good to steady the backups so we don’t have to run starters. It’s about the chip not regular season.

The Knicks don't have anything to offer in terms of picks, though. I think next season they can trade a 1st rounder again, but that's next season.

That's if he makes the team. We'll see if last season was a physically declined season or product of a losing culture.

I wonder what the purpose of all these unguaranteed deals are. I assume it provides a little more financial flexibility. I just can't imagine a bunch of guys that have been in the league for years using a short training camp period to prove themselves for a spot on the roster. Last year they had guys like Shamet, Warren, Okeke and Morris on camp deals. Shamet was the only one that was given a guaranteed contract while Warren and Okeke competed in the G-League all year just for the last roster spot to be given to Tucker.

Honestly, yeah. If it was any other team not called Utah, I'd see a deal happening, but Ainge has basically alienated himself.
