Just for the record, here is who ran the numbers the last 10 years.

2016 to 2019 - Sabonis (not in the league)
2020 to 2021 - writersblock (not in the league at that time)
2022 - TheMan (league champion, so no pick).
2023 - Sabonis (league champion, so no pick)
2024 - someone random form the Knick board, as quoted above.

2022 & 2023 where the league champs picked as they had the last pick in the draft. This is different from Alci who traded his pick, so who would want to see the pick they traded turn out to be the #1 pick. Not saying that is what happened, but there is the possibility of bias here.
