Still sucks seeing Jimmy in a Dubs jersey. Sigh.

Meh…we weren’t fortunate enough to have a generational player to pair with him & even now that he’s got Steph they still aren’t contenders so all in all……meh.

Ware was never on the table. They weren't even asking for him.

There's a lot of speculation but some claim we refused to give up HH and that broke the deal (which I don't believe). There was also conversation about us holding out on Jovic. That I do believe. I just don't know that it was the true make or break for the deal.

Personally, I think it was other assets that probably were the real reason. Houston basically gave up 2 lottery picks (1 current and 1 previous). That said, I'm not sure we were desperately trying to make it happen anyway. But even if we ended up having to give up Jovic, pairing Ware-Bam-KD was worth seeing it through imo. We basically had the opportunity to make the same huge lineup Houston is going to have this year.

And imagine if we'd still gotten Powell too, and with Herro back. It'd be a SL of Ware-Bam-KD-Powell-Herro. Wiggins off the bench if he was still here. That's a championship contender easily in the East.

It was the best move to pass on KD. It wouldn't have worked here. He would have had to do too much in Miami. While in Houston, Sengun can be their best player and KD can be the 2nd guy. At his age, that's the setup he needs to be successful. If we got him, maybe we are good enough to get ECF but not past that. That's not worth giving up the remaining assets they have.
Miami needs to focus on getting a cornerstone that still in their prime. If they can't, then face reality and rebuild.

Im so glad that era is over.. he had some moments.. but at his price tag, and being so one dimensional.. and yet he thinks he has the ability to create his own shot which he so doesnt.. those dribble step back fadeaway 3 attempts like hes kobe would infuriate me… even when he made them..

He aint that guy.. hes not steph, ray, kobe.. he is mike miller.. find your spot, square up and set your feet, and wait for the ball to get to you and shoot if youre open.. thats it..

Don't disagree with this at all tbh. It's just weird to both refuse to reset/rebuild but also not try to get a player of KD's caliber at a discount.

Our FO continues to have one foot in and one foot out at all times.

This OKC - IND game is good. Man wish we could steal Mathurin from the Pacer, he would be so good here.

Why can't Bam be like Aaron Gordon on offense :(

Or even OG Anunoby? :(
