I would loose my mind if we traded for BTJ although I have no clue what on earth he's worth right now or what we would give. He was a stud last year but fell off he's at a low point in value why trade him if you're the jags.

Terry and BTJ would be a ridiculous duo.
Talk about "taking the top off of a defense".....
President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

One youtuber suggested that we sell high on Payne since we will probably have a losing season this year anyway. he has one year left on his deal.

I wouldn't be against that. We're not going to see "contract year Daron Payne" ever again, and besides we need to rebuild the whole defense anyway. Might as well jumpstart it with a couple mid round picks. Cap hit would $11.2M according to Sportrac: https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/player/_/id/25108/daron-payne.

Offensive needs in order imo:
1. Consistent running game
2. Top 10 pass catching Tight End
3. Receiver

I believe that YPC has been solid, Kliff just doesn't call enough runs (not sure how Bill's fumbling plays into that). My concern is the o-line seems worse since Cosmi returned, giving up all kinds of pressure.

I would trade anyone over 30 with value that isn't an O line man. Consider this year a punt and pivot. Your heavy vets strategy just wasn't it and now you need to gather assets back to fix it.tontoz wrote:One youtuber suggested that we sell high on Payne since we will probably have a losing season this year anyway. he has one year left on his deal.

They don't need to punt the season....ridiculous. They need to get healthy and develop some consistency. Once they can get their full compliment of players, they'll be winning games (which I'm sure will get a couple of you mad because some of you love watching losers lose. I swear some of y'all would rather watch the draft then watch the team win games).

Would I prefer to see a 7 game heater and a playoff birth? Hail yeah. Realistically though, given the murderers row of a schedule coming up and our dodgy health, I wouldn’t argue with getting whatever picks we can get and leaning in to next year. We only have, I think, 5 picks next year. We really need about 9 to start to build young, cheap depth.

Terry with a couple spectacular catches including a TD, Lattimore with a pick. It wasn't enough though. Jacoby Crosky Merrit with only 25 yards off of 9 carries.

Yeah back to back losses to the Bears/Cowboys plus JD's injury pretty much killed their playoff hopes. They are 1-4 in the conference.

Pretended by this team is good would be like saying hey Johnson looks great let's trade for embid and go for it.TGW wrote:They don't need to punt the season....ridiculous. We are too old there isn't enough talent and we paid too many premiums for deprecated assets.
We ruined the year on a bet and we lost.
I would trade miller and waggner for anything I would trade latimore to someone desperate for a box of cheeseits. Due to some loop hole action the dead money if we traded terye I believe doesn't kick in till after the dead line so if for some crazy reason someone offered us something for him I'd do it in a heart beat and eat the small dead money next year. Any non OL starter over 30 and Marcus should go but if someone said hey well give you a 5th for Marcus I'd pull that trigger and sign someone off the street

That's a bit of an exaggeration lol but it's true that they made a bet and lost so barring a dramatic improvement in play they need to pivot. That is easier to do in football because the contracts are shorter and not fully guaranteed.
