Jeremiah Fears - 2 points on 1-11 shooting. Also 4 turnovers.
Quuen - 12 points on 3-7, 4 rebounds. Looks like he had some fould trouble - 4 in 21 minutes.

Brooklyn's rookies are all terrible.

Ace Bailey another stinker. 6 points on 2-9 shooting. But more importantly, Utah beat Phoenix!!!! Took overtime and a 50 piece from Lauri, despite Utah having a ten point lead late in the 4th. Damn Ainge and their coach trying their best to lose games and the players wouldn't let it happen. Let's go Jazz!!!
Can't say I do. Who else gonna shoot?

Pretty bad night for the class of 2025, with many not even playing.

Amazing development in the tank race. Utah now has 2 wins and Phoenix has lost 3 in a row after an improbable opening night comeback win against Sacramento.

Phoenix really might end up as a bottom 5 team. What an absolute disaster. Their one good player is already 29 years old. And they've traded or double-swapped every pick until 2032.

They need to trade Booker ASAP. The nets were in a kind of similar situation and managed to rebuild draft capital through trades, although they appear to be squandering the capital they built.

The player to beat for ROY in the very early going, what a stud.

I could have this entirely incorrect, but let's say Phoenix ends up with the 2nd pick, Memphis ends up with the 9th pick, and we end up with the 4th pick.

Washington swaps with Phoenix, so Washington at 2, then Phoenix at 4.

Memphis then has swap rights with Phoenix, so Memphis jumps from 9 to 4.

But wait! I believe Charlotte ends up with the worse pick of them all, so they get the 9th pick.

The whole thing is a little confusing but this stems from the Beal and Nurkic trades and somehow, Phoenix doesn't end up with a first round pick. I could be wrong but I think I have the first two scenarios correct.

Kid is killing it. My worry with him was if he could every hone in the ballhandling and shooting off the dribble to reach his ceiling.

Yeah. Something like that. Phoenix didn't just swap their pick with us. They triple swapped it. They get the worst of WAS/PHX, and then have to around and swap that with MEM, and they may even have to swap that with CHA, though it is unlikely that CHA will have a worse record than MEM. It was actually kind of an innovative way to get around the Stephien rule.

I used to get frustrated watching him at Baylor. He was so passive much of the time. His scoring was just fast breaks, open catch and shoot 3s and straight line drives. Every now and then he'd drop a midrange shot but i saw minimal shot creation and craftiness.

Another odd thing is that he really struggled to finish at the rim shooting sub 50%.

Apparently he just didn't like college ball and didnt like the way they used him.

There's something truly disgusting about these guys all landing on teams that were all contending for NBA Championships within the past 2 or 3 years, save the Spurs who've won non-stop and only just started tanking 3 years ago just in time to land two generational stars, and a rookie of the year. It's hard as hell not to feel this isn't rigged. Did the NBA want those guys in Texas, and Philly, or did they want them in freaking Utah, and Charlotte or with the 45 years dead Washington DC Franchise.

I can't watch anything any of the 3 of them do without getting really viscerally angry and disgusted. I will never be able to enjoy any of them, and will view any championships any win with those franchises to have been rigged by the league, whether by the flattening horse ----, or actual rigging. It's as if baseball isn't bad enough with no true revenue sharing, the NBA just hands superstars to playoff teams, and gives the rest of us another decade of purgatory. And now the Celtics are playing at it lol. Just disgusting.

To be fair, Coward probably should have been taken higher than where he got picked (11th). 3 point attempts and % went up every year he played college ball, ideal size, good free throw shooter. All the signs were there. The drawback was he only played 6 games his last year and no one had a clue how to scout him. I would have been perfectly fine with him at 6 had Tre/Bailey not been there.
