Nesmith and Sheppard combined to shoot 3 for 23 tonight vs the Mavs. Pacers shot as a team 35% versus the Mavs 45%. You can’t expect to be a winning team playing like this. Am I upset nah. I understand that they’re trying to win with 2 staters and a bunch of young talented but inexperienced players. Pacers go 0-4 to start the season. Friday is the Hawks at Indy. Not sure they can win against a 2-3 Hawks squad.

I thought Ray J, Q, and Bradley played well. Walker hustled and McClung wasn’t too lost in his debut.

I'll gladly trade Pacer basketball losses for Colts and IU football wins.

I root for IU and whoever is playing Purdue or Notre Dame. I didn't go there, but my parents did. they met there as students.

LOL,... I root for both IU & Purdue. Have degrees from both. Would really like to see both do well. For IU, I would LOVE to see them win a national championship in football. Coach Cignetti has been nothing short of miraculous, and has the appearance of someone who can sustain that success long term. Would also LOVE to see Purdue get just 1,... One! Big ten win this year! LOLOLOL Coach Odom has a much longer, more difficult road to even reach mediocrity, but it is possible.

Being a Purdue fan,... I still have to believe that Purdue men's basketball is slightly over-rated at the start of the season? They are good team, bordering on great, that is talented, experienced, & well coached. But,... IMO there are a few teams out there with potentially better overall talent. Those teams however are very significantly unproven. So, I get the preseason ranking. Essentially, no one else has shown anything yet. I believe Purdue will make a run in the tournament, and they can win it all, I just don't think it's as likely as some of the preseason analysts do.

IMO DeVries is going to be the next legend at IU. Yeah,.. it's early, but his fit at the school is just so good, and if you've watched any of his team's games,... he can coach. Believe his tenure will start more like Odom's? He is going to take some lumps, but in the long run, it would not surprise me if he re-establishes IU as a 'blue blood' & eventually brings another championship to IU.

who would have thought back in the 80's-90's that Purdue would be ranked in Basketball & IU ranked in football in the same season?.... LOLOLOLOL :D

Hanging in against the Hawks. Seems to be some consistent patterns. Lots of hustle. Obviously less talent than the opponent in each game. Shooting is off. Not getting blown out but just not enough to keep a lead.

Pacers need to raise their shooting percentage from 38% and play better defense to curb the 54% of the Hawks. 3 guys driving the percentage down are Sheppard 1-4, McClung 2-6, and Ray J 0-7.

I know each game takes on it’s own unique outcomes based on each team’s current situation.

Atlanta in the second half destroyed the Pacers by 20 tonight without the services of Tre Young.

That’s the hard truth of outcomes to be expected from injuries taking out all but 2 starters plus Obi and TJ. It kinda feels like back in the brawl season when the Pacers were so under manned but tried so hard to compete.

What will a 4-2 Warriors team do to the 0-5 Pacers tomorrow night visiting with 1 day fresher legs ? It could really get uglier than a 20 point loss.
