That 9th will forever haunt me if we lose game 7.
Wish we just had a 1-2-3 9th

Irony that they lost the game due to runs that came because of IBB’ing Shohei. I guess that wasn’t the definitive solution to the Shohei problem after all, who would have thought

If Kirk doesn't call for a 1-2 fastball to struggling Mookie, that inning ends with 1 run. Walking him was the correct call.

Except for the fact that Gausman owns Shohei historically and walking him directly led to the game winning run but sure

So stupid Gausman struck out 7/9 lmao and were walking a guy who hasnt hit Gausman ever to pitch to a guy who clipped him LAST GAME. Like it was so early a 2 run shot by Ohtani isnt even devastating in the 3rd

But, max gives up his runs early, as well..if he limits it to 2 and settles down, then good..too bad for gausman..1 bad pitch and no offense

100 MPH exit velocity with a .680 xba in the 8th to end the inning, that’s called bad luck yeah

More bad luck on his earlier popout, groundout and strikeout I guess. Just an unlucky night at the plate all around

Poor Varsho is always unlucky, even when he pops out, strikes out and grounds out. It is never his fault (lol). Just move his butt down to 8th, and we have no problems.

Turns out it’s tough to hit one of the top pitchers in baseball on a historic level streak

Just start Bassitt and have Yesavage come in for relief. Hoffman in the pen if needed. That's the plan.

Were gonna kill em tomorrow. We've been the better team 9/10's of this series. Only when Yama pitched have they been better. Were gonna roll tomorrow, no doubt.

They had Gimenez played very shallow since he has zero pop. That's normally a bit for most lefty hitters.

Yeah basically had perfect positioning on that. If it drops in and Barger didn't go, people would be questioning that too.

Dodgers only scored in ONE inning and we outhit them 8 to 4. This is an even more devastating loss than that 18 inning game. Hope they get blown out 20 to 1 tomorrow with how much bad karma theyve sown this series. Teams who beat themselves dont deserve a World Series.

I don't agree with this at all. Most of these guys have never been there before and even if they are better you gotta learn how to win in those big moments. It reminds me of the Raptors Championship series vs the Warriors, with Durant out they were clearly the better team and i would even say that it should have ended in 4 or 5 at the very least. They beat themselves especially in that game 5 but they came back on the road and won it all. At the end of the day all of this "we're better" doesn't matter, just win.

Agreed. Braindead take from a visitor. They f'ed it up in the 9th on 3 pitches just like they won game 5 on 3 pitches. Baseball be like that sometimes. Ernie is always aggressive and it has been working for him. Didn't this time. Gimenez made good contact, Barger misread it. Happens, and he was only on second because he came up big with a double in the first place.

Dodgers were the favorite, had the pitching advantage, never trailed and won the game. There's no choke. Sometimes you've just got to tip your cap.

I like our chances in game 7 because it's against anybody but Yamamoto and we're at home. Go Jays.

This team has shown a knack for coming back from tough losses. They should be okay.

And I was told earlier this week that you should walk Shohei 100% of the time

Turns out it isn’t nearly so simple, baseball rarely is

2nd 3rd nobody put. Clement pops up on a pitch out of the zone and then barger gets doubled up why so stupid. Like you had sprinter coming up too

We are still better positioned for game 7 by making them use their pitchers in a high stress situation.

Varsho absolutely needs to be dropped in this lineup. Went back and watched his groundout in the 8th inning. Absolutely hanging pitch that he rolled over on. Barger (despite his boneheaded baserunning tonight) needs to be batting higher.

Barger at 5, Kirk at 6, Clement at 7, Varsho at 8, and Gimenez at 9 is what a rational front office and manager would have. Look at the Dodgers moving Will Smith up, and Betts at 4. It paid dividends today. Not sure why Schneider is so afraid to move Varsho down.

Sounds right, makes more sense. He is more dangerous at the bottom of the lineup.Every time he would get hot down there he would be moved up then start to fade, then he would be moved back, and start to perform, then they would nove him up again lol

I think the 18th inning game is more haunting..we had it, if lukes just took ball 4 off Kershaw or bo,varsho mixup didn't happen or Schneider walked ohtani much sooner, even before 7th inning when he hit double to drive in a run , then scored 1..its a worse loss then today, plus Schneider substitution circus

The unfortunate thing about that ending is that they pulled Yamamoto while he still had plenty of pitches left in the tank (to give him the ability to pitch tomorrow) and then we didn’t take advantage of a struggling RP in Sasaski who will definitely not be used tomorrow in a big spot

We are likely gonna have to beat each of their four starters tomorrow, I don’t think you’ll see a single reliever out of the Dodgers outside of maybe a lefty
