Let them face more interesting competition over a larger sample before we start talk of them being "back."

Magic and Pistons were young playoff teams with big potential last year. These are teams with 50 win potential. Hawks also added Porzingis. They're all playoff teams.

I'm not saying the Bulls are contenders. But they may be contenders for the 4 seed.

Magic still can't shoot to save their lives and Mosley is still their coach.

Pistons lost 3 of their top 6 players in playoff minutes this summer, Ivey is still not healthy, and jb is still their coach.

Hawks were not a playoff team last season but are trying to work in 4 new free agents as well as JJ back from injury.
The Bulls have looked great.

I was just noticing the Cavs were below the Magic in offensive rating. I thought they were a good regular season team? The Magic and Cavs have nearly the same EFG and TS.

Bulls are 20-5 in their last 25 regular season games. Basically a few weeks after the Lavine trade they became a different team.

.....

Bulls' next 9 games are brutal though. They might be close to 0.500 after that.

It would be funny if Mosely's offense ended up higher than Atkinson's offense.

Which amuses me, given that the pre-season buzz was how the Bulls would struggle without Coby White being available -- although, as you know, Coby is pretty much a Zach LaVine clone.

This. Cleveland started out the season missing three major rotation players, one of whom was an all star last season. They aren't going to be fully healthy until at least December, assuming no more injuries occur.

You won't get any sympathy from the Magic. We had our share the last couple of years. Our 6th man of the year candidate Moe is still out until January, and Suggs is on minutes restrictions where he can't play b2bs or over 20 mpg.

No one asked for sympathy lol

The Cavs last night starting 5

1. Lonzo Ball
2. J. Tyson
3. Hunter
4. Dean Wade
5. Mobley

I sure as heck hope Mose and the Magic can have a better ORtg than that squad lmao

Not sure whats brutal here. 6 winnable games there
Are they supposed to be scared of the knicks, sixers, pistons, jazz, bucks?

I think that Giddey might be sustainable because he played like this to close out last season but one of Chicago's problems is that its play is partially based on Vucevic playing out of his mind. He is going to come back down to earth.

Hopefully Collins coming back helps mitigate that inevitable decline.

Yeah, I don’t think Vuc will maintain his 69 TS% at age 35 all season. Hopefully getting White back should help, and I don’t know if Noa will have any kind of impact this year.

I'm pretty sure Vuc's dad played professionally in Europe he was 42. Durability runs in the family.

His father was born in 1958 and was still playing in 2001-2002.

I think his dad was better at 35. Borislav was 35 in 1993. He averaged 33.8 ppg.

Nikola needs to step up his game.

The Bull are definitely a feel good story. I remember when Vuc got traded from Orlando and everyone was clowning the Bulls. Now it might be a different story. Who were the two picks that the Magic got in that trade?
