Apparently, Jaire Alexander was a healthy scratch against us and was a healthy scratch against the dolphins as well. He wasn’t that good last season either. But, he’s only on a 1/4m deal. Given our current injury situation in the secondary, I think it would be very worth it to do a 6/7 swap for him

caleb has a lot of room to improve but pointing at his massively improved sack avoidance, his elite ability to extend plays and his solid-if-unspectacular passing volume makes me think that you don't really have a great understanding of the specific issues with his game!

Thank you. TTT-based analysis is ruining QB discourse. It's obvious from both the stats and the film that his problem isn't poor processing, but poor (or inconsistent) accuracy. There have only been a few instances at most each game where he was actually late on a throw from a processing standpoint.

The high TTT is actually a good thing for him in particular since it's so heavily skewed by outliers (extending plays) and he isn't taking many sacks. When he scrambles, his TTT is significantly higher than any other QB when they scramble (which again, is a good thing).

Roschon Johnson really disappointed me. I was a fan in college and thought he was a steal. He hasn’t been available in the season and I don’t understand it. It might be time to cut ties. There’s RB available. Whose gonna back up Kyle on Sunday?!

I'm a Longhorn fan and I was happy the Bears drafted him at the time. But some players just can't stay healthy. We have him signed through next season. He's due to make $1.145 million next season. I'd be inclined to release him after the season. He's just not worth a roster spot and his salary. We need to Draft a RB on Day 2 next year. And probably sign a FA as well. Our First Rounder next year needs to be either in the Secondary or the D-Line. Currently a few Mocks have us taking an EDGE in Round 1 like TJ Parker of Clemson. If enough QBs go in the Top 10 picks some good talent will drop to us. And Poles needs to do better. We're getting very little (so far) from our top 4 picks from the last draft.

Our top 4 picks from last year were all drafted more for the future, and are currently stuck playing behind veterans (Kmet, DJ/Rome, etc.), but still you'd like to see more from them, esp. Loveland, our top pick. They need to get him more targets.

As for Trapillo, I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing that an UDFA is ahead of him at tackle. On the one hand, it's a stroke of good fortune finding a starting LT who went undrafted, on the other, it's not a great sign that you're 2nd round pick couldn't beat him out.

Burden has shown flashes, but now he's out injured. And Shemar has either been hurt or ineffective.

But Benedet is older and has more experience and that counts as well.

Burden has shown enough that he’ll be an excellent WR when given the chance. Loveland similar. Their issues appear to be mostly usage related.

It almost feels like both were drafted with the anticipation that Kmet & DJ will be moved at some point in the next couple of seasons where those guys will be able to step right up.

Yes I think that was the plan. And with Burden, I think they felt the value was just too high to pass on him. I don't think they were really anticipating taking a WR there, but he just fell into their laps.

Bears likely will have to score some points today. CIN has scored 33 and 37 its last two games. We'll do well to hold them to 28.

Cin D is on a recording setting pace for futility. They've given up 27pts and 350yds or more in 7 straight games; tying an NFL record. No team has been that bad for 8 straight games and Cin had a players only meeting this week trying to get things right.
Bears offense have gotten over 350yds 3 straight games, but they've only score over 27pts once this year. On the road and with Swift out, Ben and Caleb are going to have to be in tune and play mistake free.

Yeah our offense always has to play against themselves too. Mistake free is the key.

I've read that Benedet has graded out very poorly by PFF since he's been starting. Let's hope he does better today, or maybe we'll see Trapilo. At least Hendrickson is out.

Maybe a big day for Loveland??

Oh FFS. I was talking about the risk if allowing returns just last week.

The ioffesne is at its best when Moore is the main target and Williams treats him as such

Well that was fun. I hate the fact that it seemed necessary. But it was fun.
