Grizzlies suspend Ja Morant for 1 game for detrimental conduct

The Memphis Grizzlies suspended star point guard Ja Morant on Saturday for one game because of conduct detrimental to the team.

The suspension comes as a result of first-year Grizzlies coach Tuomas Iisalo challenging Morant's leadership and effort in a postgame exchange after Friday night's 117-112 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers -- to which Morant responded in a tone deemed inappropriate and dismissive, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania. The confrontation happened in front of the team, sources said.

IQ hasn't been an Ironman so not sure that matters much. Ja at his peak is legit All NBA, just another planet from IQ. I would offer IQ+ some of the guard prospects in a heartbeat

Ja is a proven MVP-Talent, of course we do!I want RJ to be a Raptors for life, but if it takes IQ and RJ (+ a little), well...
Certainly those injuries have been concerning, but again he always comes back strong

Ja already peaked by his third year. An amazing player at the time but he’s maybe 70% of the player that he was in year 3.

There’s a trade that can be done between us Memphis and Minnesota to get us Naz Reid, Conley and Leonard Miller, Ja to Minnesota and IQ to Memphis with salary and picks (they tank for lottery pick and reset around Coward and JJJ)

Yeah I think Darko has def adjusted compared to a week ago. I think lacking a healthy Yak and IQ shooting at a career low level has hurt them the most and nothing Darko can really do about that, unfortunately.

But Scottie and BI proving they can thrive/coexist is pretty huge and that plus someone like Battle earning more rotation mins are at least some things to build on.

I'm not sure how much of his "bad boy" image carries over to Toronto. That flies in Memphis, those guys are gone here.
